History

Roovet was launched in Berlin, New York, in May 2013 by Tony James Nelson II. Initially, Roovet was only a search engine operating on PHP, receiving its search results using Google search, Yahoo search, and Bing search’s API. In the same year with the contribution of Hassun Mujeeb, Roovet became the second search engine in the world to build a knowledge panel.

A year later, on August 27, 2014, Roovet became a Florida-based privately held firm that began offering additional online services such as creating email addresses under @roovet.com, online advertisement, website builder, business listing directory, webmaster tools to help website owners with SEO.

As a part of its rapid growth strategy, Roovet also launched three moving companies under the name Florida State Moving & Storage, which later ended up becoming its own corporation. The other two companies Jacksonville Elite Movers and Roovet Van Lines currently operate under the Roovet Corporation. The company also began entering into advertising partnerships with bigger companies like Groupon, Living Social, Local Flavor, and Thumbtack to gain more market traction. On May 16, 2016, Roovet opened a local convenience store in Jacksonville - Savannah's 24hr Store, named after the founder’s daughter Savannah N. Taveras.

On September 20, 2020, Roovet was reincorporated in Florida as Roovet International & Local Corporation and the headquarters were relocated to Jacksonville, Florida. Products and services

Search Engine

The company's major service offering was the Roovet search engine. It is a vertical search engine that uses the same API as Google, Yahoo, and Bing, with the goal of assisting users in finding people, places, social profiles, and businesses. The Roovet search engine searches for what the user is looking for first on its own network sites and products, and if it isn't found there, it looks for it on other internet-based sites using domain authority and page authority to provide the best results.

Advertising

The Roovet advertisement platform was launched immediately after the search engine, with the goal of connecting advertisers and allowing them to present adverts in search results based on the user's search query. The user can also show adverts in Roovet Mail, an email service, using the Roovet advertising platform Roovet AdWords. As the company grew, so did the advertising, eventually allowing users to advertise on any Roovet-hosted website as well as Roovet-owned apps.[4]

Fashion

The Roovet Fashion is the company's newest division. Roovet Fashion, also known as the apparel brand Roovet, was founded by Tony James Nelson II with the goal of propelling the company into a new age. Roovet Fashion specializes in men's and women's underwear, socks, jeans, sneakers, shirts, and hats, among other items. Amazon, Esty, eBay, and Wish are just a few of the places where one can find Roovet clothes that are sold at a very reasonable cost.
