Rob Gomez is a Filipino actor, singer, dancer, and host.[1] He is the son of former actress Kate Gomez, and the nephew of actor Gary Estrada.[2] He is part of the Ejercito-Estrada clan but opts not use the famous family name in the entertainment industry.[3]
Personal Life
Rob was born on 23 March 1997 to former actress Kate Gomez.[2] He grew up in San Antonio, Quezon.[3] He is a member of the Ejercito-Estrada clan in the Philippines[3], a prominent political and acting family,[4] with former president Joseph Estrada being his grand-uncle, and the late actor George Estregan being his maternal grandfather.[5]
Education
Rob was taking up export management at the College of St Benilde in June 2021.[3] Prior to studying management, Rob shared that architecture was his first course fresh out of high school.[6]
At present, it is unknown whether he has graduated already.
Career
Rob is currently starring in GMA Network's installment of the Mano Po series by Regal Films entitled Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune.[7] He stars as Joseph Chan, the first-born of the prominent Chan clan. However, due to his illegitimate status, he is not recognized by the Chan family as the first-born.
Prior to joining Mano Po, Rob had his showbiz debut in master showman German Moreno's late-night variety show, Walang Tulugan,[1] as a singer, dancer, and co-host. However, he decided to put acting aside and pursue his studies first.[1]
In 2021, while pursuing management at the College of St Benilde, Rob was offered to take the lead part in esteemed Director Erik Matti's movie, A Girl + A Guy.
