Rishi Nikam (also known as NikamRishi ; born 11 September 2000) is an Indian filmmaker and writer known for his works in Marathi language and hindi films, short films and series[1] and founder[2] [3]of kalakari[4] Rishi made his directorial debut in film industry in 2019 with short film Sketch Book.[5] Founder and director of kalakari

Early life and education

Rishi was born in Dewas district with his parents to the Madhya Pradesh in 2000.[6] he earned a bachelor in fine arts in indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Career

Rishi Nikam started his career as a VFX[7] and animation artist. his film career started with the short film Sketch Book.[5][8] This short film got awarded in many film festival and awards.[9][10] [11]Sketchbook short film of Nikam's got Best Animation award at the CMS Vatavaran in India.[12][13]

2019 Rishi[14] [15]founded the Kalakari Film Festival Pvt. Ltd.[16][17][18] festival aims for women[19] film makers.[20] [21][22]

He was the author of the Magazine Kalakari art and film magazine.[23][24] 2019 Rishi made a documentary based on Indian Tea, named Chai yari.[25]

In 2021 he worked on NFT.[6]
