Richard James Lorenzo (born February 18, 1945 in Newark, New Jersey) is a former American radio personality and executive.

Early Life and Education

Lorenzo was born in Newark, New Jersey and graduated from St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in 1963[1] and Seton Hall University[2].

Career

While a student at Seton Hall, Lorenzo created and hosted a rock and roll oldies show called the Relic Rack Review[3] on WSOU (South Orange, New Jersey).

Following graduation in 1967, Lorenzo served on active duty in the U.S. Army for two years primarily in the Army Hometown News Center.

He worked on-air at a number of radio stations including KUDL-FM (Kansas City), WDAF (Kansas City), WDHA (Dover, New Jersey), WFMV (Blairstown, New Jersey), WOBM-FM (Toms River) and WWYZ (Waterbury, Connecticut).[4]

He also worked as an executive for several broadcasting companies including WCBS-FM (New York)[5], General Electric and at ABC where he was the director of the ABC Direction Radio Network.[6]
