Paul Sanborn Boynton (born February 27, 1948) is an English-Irish author, columnist, blogger, personal and business coach, nonprofit management consultant, keynote speaker, social worker, counselor, and radio host.[1] He is the former chief executive officer of The Moore Center, a non-profit organization that supports individuals of all ages with differing disabilities.[2]

Boynton has been a regular contributor to the NH Business Review and has blogged for The Good Men’s Project and The Huffington Post.[3] Boynton also hosted a radio show named "Begin with Yes" on Empower Radio and hosted cable television shows, Health New Hampshire and Begin with Yes. He is widely recognized for his books and expertise in leadership, organizational development, and personal development.[4] He is the author of the best-selling book "Begin with Yes: A short conversation that will change your life forever." His other notable books include "Remember - A Little Book of Courage, Comfort, and Hope," "Be Amazing,” Begin with Yes – Nighttime Affirmations,” Commit: Transform Your Body And Your Life With The Power Of Yes," and several others.[5]

Early life and education

Boynton was born and raised in New Hampshire, United States, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Social Work. Later, he earned a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Goddard College and an honorary doctorate in humanities from the University of New Hampshire.

Career

Boynton's career in the health care, human services, and charitable sectors spans over 50 years. Beginning his career in human services in 1971 with Easter Seals New Hampshire, he joined The Moore Center in 1997 as president and chief executive officer.[8] The Moore Center is a non-profit organization that serves individuals of all ages with various disabilities, from early intervention services for children to programs and services for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries.[9][10]

After serving as the CEO of The Moore Center for 23 years, Boynton stepped down from CEO in the spring of 2021 to work on other endeavors. His leadership has been instrumental in making The Moore Center a respected and successful organization that has supported individuals with differing disabilities for over 65 years.[11][12]

Boynton has held various leadership positions and is also a trained counselor. He has regularly contributed to the NH Business Review, blogged for The Good Men’s Project and The Huffington Post, and hosted a radio show and cable television show named "Begin with Yes" on Empower Radio.[13]

Boynton is widely recognized for his self-help books. He is the author of the best-selling book "Begin with Yes: A short conversation that will change your life forever," which has become an international bestseller, inspiring readers to make positive changes by taking small, positive steps.
