Early life and education

Netter was born on 25 March 1952 in Brussels, Belgium. He grew up with his sister, Francoise in White Plains, New York. His father, Georges Netter, was an entrepreneur and radio announcer. His mother, Ilse Klipper, was a writer and travel agent. She authored a series of children’s meditation books such as My Magic Garden, Coming Into Harmony (Pathways Press). Netter’s sister, Francoise E. Netter, is also an author and yoga/dance teacher. His step-sister, Linda Nevas is a retired social worker.

When Netter was seven years old, he took on his step-father’s name and was known as Pat Schon. He worked as a newspaper boy for the local Reporter's Dispatch. He skipped his 5th grade. Netter completed his high school education at Hamilton High School, Los Angeles, CA. At 19, Netter worked as a full-time door-to-door salesman for the Fuller Brush Company.

Later, Netter enrolled at San Diego State University, where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa, with Highest Honors and Distinction in Psychology.

Career

In 1981, Patrick Netter launched what was considered the nation’s first “tech” retail exercise equipment store, High-Tech Fitness in West Hollywood, California. The shop was featured in Newsweek, Los Angeles Magazine, the New York Times, Bottom Line Persona, and local network TV news segments.[9]

In 1984, he founded Netter Marketing Group, a marketing and branding firm known for national media placements and specialized on-camera coaching. Netter has introduced multiple trademarks, products and services. He unveiled the first elliptical fitness cross trainer to a national TV audience on NBC’s The Today Show, December,1993.

In 2000, Netter gained recognition as the Gear Guru and became a TV news and media personality. Over three decades, Netter has appeared on over 400 television segments including CNN Headline News, The Daily Buzz, Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, and other news/talk shows.

In 2016, Netter created, developed and patented the OntheMUV miniTREAD. The motorized exercise device allows users, even some with mobility challenges, to “walk” while seated. Preliminary clinical research conducted at the University of Oklahoma showed it increased blood circulation and caloric-burn, with potential other physical and mental benefits. The miniTREAD is considered the original electric seated treadmill.

In 2020, Netter created, developed and sold the intellectual property, VIREXIT and VIREXITCLEAN to the OTC public company, Poverty Dignified Group (PVDG).
