OptionsSwing is an online educational trading community.[1][2] The company was founded in August of 2019 and launched the private community the following November. OptionsSwing has 8 experienced traders with decades of experience available at all hours of the day to answer questions that provide market insight to all of its members.[3]In addition to the mentors, OptionsSwing has heavily invested into different tools and automated features that are included in membership packages. [4]

History

OptionsSwing is an educational trading community that provides its members the tools and guidance necessary to navigate the stock market.[5] This company actually started as a texting group chat. The founder, Jason, was always being asked by his friends for market updates and general questions about how they could get involved. Over time it became too time consuming individually texting everyone and so, OptionsSwing was born. Originally OptionsSwing was nothing more than a free Instagram page for Jason to share his thoughts with his friends and other like minded individuals to discuss upcoming company events, potential plays and anything else pertaining to each post.

Fast forward a couple of months and after doing a couple of small account challenges (most famously turning $5,000 into more than $38,000 in a week), José pitched the idea of taking the community private to Jason. In November of 2019, they launched their private Discord community. That very first weekend they had 50 people sign up at a rate of $50/mo, which completely exceeded their expectations.

Since then the duo has continued to add tools and automation to further enable their community’s education.[6] As the company grew, they hired content moderators from within the community.[7] Despite covid creating one of the worst job markets since the Great Depression, OptionsSwing has created 15 jobs - 7 of those are full time jobs with salaries ranging from marketing, graphic design to being an analyst.[8][9]

Within 12 months of the launch of the original OptionsSwing Instagram page, OptionsSwing has gained over 100,000 followers and roughly 2,000 members choosing to renew their memberships each month.[10]

Services

Below are a couple of the strategies that OptionsSwing teaches to its members.

Swing Trading

The company teaches its members how to fully utilize multiple indicators, custom built trend painters and scanners to identify the best opportunities on a daily basis. Swing trading is the most accessible, low maintenance style of trading and is incredibly popular amongst those new to trading. The length of the trade could be anywhere from an overnight hold to a full year for the desired result to play out. These trades often provide multiple opportunities for entries and exits.[11][12]

Day Trading

Day Trading is a more advanced trading strategy. Where swing trading likely gives you multiple opportunities to enter or exit the trade, day trading is all about precision since it’s done within the same market session. The daily curated watchlist highlights key support and resistances on relevant companies. If the criteria we teach the members to look out for are met, the watchlist gives great day trade opportunities where individuals can limit exposure to the market and still execute great trades.[13]

ER Plays

Earnings reports are an integral part of the market calendar. Once a quarter there’ll be a month or so that traders refer to as “Earnings Season.” Earnings season is typically where those with gambling tendencies get the most excited, as an earnings report can make a company move violently several percent in either direction - creating an incredibly lucrative, but risky, opportunity. Every weekend during earnings season, OptionsSwing puts out free, detailed analysis on several of the companies for the upcoming week. These reports in combination with collaboration amongst others in the community, enables members to make the most educated decisions possible.[14]

OptionsSwing offers two different subscription plans consisting of monthly and yearly packages. Recently they have added private mentorships with their partner, Everyday Growth Advisors, for beginners and intermediates. Coming soon are the advanced course via Everyday Growth Advisors, an intro to technical analysis course taught by the company’s lead analyst Will Nozick and a book by Jason that will cover all aspects of trading.[15][16]
