Nisar Ibrahim (born 7 September 1976) is an Indian expatriate artist, short film director and sculptor residing in the United Arab Emirates. He is a design consultant and architect by profession since 1998.

Early life

Nisar Ibrahim (1976) was born in Kodungallur, Kerala, India [1] but has resided in various GCC Nations from his early 20’s, first in Saudi Arabia before moving to the United Arab Emirates. Born in the rural village of Pattepadam, Kodungallur Nisar has explored his creative side from a young age. He studied at the University Of Calicut, earning a Diploma in Civil Engineering in 1994, wherein he began his professional career.

Career

Nisar Ibrahim is known for his creative portrayal of various topics with a keen interest on incorporating Politics, Anti-Colonialism, War and Famine and he chooses to do so via various artistic mediums. This ranges from Anamorphic sculptures, to films.[2] and paintings. In recent years, he has focused on art that highlights significant figures and accomplishments of the nation of the United Arab Emirates, as an expatriate residing for 15 years in the aforementioned. His work has been viewed and questioned by many, from art critics to influencers alike and displayed at various art exhibitions and movie screenings globally.[3]

Nisar has been able to put his creative side to use professionally as an Architect cum Interior Designer, working in the respective field for over 24 years internationally and at present in the United Arab Emirates. [4]
