Nathanaël Cohen is a French entrepreneur and investor active in digital assets and institutional cryptocurrency markets. He is the co-founder and chief investment officer of INDIGO Fund, a digital asset investment platform, and co-founder and head of OTC at SH Digital, an institutional crypto brokerage.[1][2]

Early life and education

Cohen was born in Paris, France. He grew up in Paris and developed an early interest in business, sales, and financial markets. He attended Lycée Voltaire in Paris and later studied finance at Paris School of Business, where he completed a master's degree. His academic work included a thesis on financial inclusion through blockchain technology and the potential use of digital assets to expand access to financial services in underbanked regions.

Career

Cohen began his professional career in 2017 in equity derivatives sales at Makor Securities. He later moved from traditional brokerage into digital assets, joining Enigma Securities in 2018. At Enigma Securities, he worked in sales and trading and was relocated to New York, where he worked with institutional clients during the early period of institutional adoption of digital assets.[2]

He later served as head of sales trading at Enigma Securities. His work involved client relationships, execution flows, institutional liquidity, and digital asset market structure.

INDIGO Fund

In 2022, Cohen co-founded INDIGO Fund with Thomas Puech and BLOND:ISH. The fund focuses on yield and relative value strategies in digital assets, using decentralized finance infrastructure and market inefficiencies. INDIGO Fund has been described as a digital asset investment platform focused on liquidity, execution, and risk management.[1][3]

In 2024, INDIGO Fund was reported to have closed 2023 with a positive annual performance and continued its focus on digital asset yield strategies.[3] The fund has also been covered in relation to its approach to digital asset yields and institutional crypto investment strategies.[4]

SH Digital

Cohen also co-founded SH Digital, an institutional OTC brokerage focused on cryptocurrency liquidity and execution services. The firm provides crypto to fiat liquidity, large transaction execution, and treasury related solutions for institutional clients. Its client base includes hedge funds, asset managers, family offices, payment companies, and other market participants.
