Miriam Abadi (born 18 December 1982) is a Lebanese-German beauty entrepreneur and social media influencer.[1] She is the founder of Tru & Beyond,[2] a wellness brand known for advocating for a deeper sense and meaning of beauty.[3][4]

Abadi, a renowned wellness influence, has gained recognition for being an avid advocate for finding conclusive answers to the pressing notions existing with regards to beauty, especially female beauty and their wellness.[5] With Tru & Beyond, she aims to raise awareness about the importance of understanding these concepts by featuring articles written by industry experts.[6][7]

Early life and education

Abadi was born on 18 December 1982 in Germany. Her father was Lebanese and her mother was German. After completing her high school education, Abadi enrolled in the American University of Beirut where she acquired her bachelor’s degree.

Career

Abadi started her career in 2005 when she joined the British American FMCG company as a management trainee.[8] Over the course of her 13-year long tenure with this firm, Abadi grew through ranks and assumed the positions of a marketing planner, brand manager for Dunhill & Value for Money Brands, and lastly as a senior brand manager for Next Generation Products MEA.[9]

In 2020, Abadi decided to start her entrepreneurial journey, and launched Tru & Beyond, a unique platform that aims at addressing the existing taboos and misconceptions prevalent in the beauty industry and unraveling the deeper meaning of beauty, and wellness.[10] The platform covers a diverse range of topics ranging from aesthetics, hair, makeup, and skin.[11] It also features TRUTalks, articles based on interviews with industry experts conducted by Abadi such as Dr. Simone Laubscher, Dr. Lana Kashlan, Maha Rifai, Lucy Goff, and others.[12]

Personal life

Abadi is married and is a mother of two kids named Jad and Sari Obeid. She is also multilingual, fluent in German, English, Arabic, and French.
