Matthew Frauenshuh, commonly known as Matt, is the Chief Executive Officer of Fourteen Foods, the largest DQ Grill & Chill franchise group globally. He is also a Principal at Frauenshuh, Inc. As an accomplished business executive and philanthropist, Matt is best known for his remarkable leadership and strategic vision in growing Fourteen Foods from a few locations in Minnesota to maintaining a presence across 13 states with over 242 franchise locations. He serves as President of Folds of Honor which grants educational scholarships to children and spouses of America’s fallen and disabled service members. Education and Career
Matt Frauenshuh completed his undergraduate studies at St. Olaf College. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics. He received his MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. His academic background has undoubtedly bolstered his strategic acumen and informed his decision-making processes.
In 2002, the Frauenshuh family founded Frauenshuh Inc., a corporate and healthcare real estate company. Matt Frauenshuh currently serves as the company’s principal.[1]
Frauenshuh joined his family’s DQ Grill & Chill franchise group, Fourteen Foods, as Chief Executive Officer in 2006. The first franchise was in Minnesota. When he joined, there were seven stores associated with the franchise group.[2] There are now over 240 locations in 13 states, making it the largest Dairy Queen franchise in the world.[3] The group has approximately 9,000 employees.[4]
Frauenshuh is also the CEO of Double Seven Development.[5] His professional journey is a testament to his exceptional leadership skills, entrepreneurial vision, and unwavering dedication to community improvement. He currently lives in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife and four children.
