Mark Sayfritz (born 24 July 1967) is an English composer, record producer, sound and mixing engineer based in Los Angeles, USA. Specialising in motion picture scores & soundtracks, he collaborates regularly with director Darren Lynn Bousman.

Career

Sayfritz was a record producer and in-house writer for Jive Records before being signed up as a recording artist with Heavenly Records and EMI Records.[1] As a composer, he worked on the TV series Snatch (2017), and has regularly worked with director Darren Lynn Bousman as a composer and film score for the films St. Agatha (2018), Abattoir (2016), and Death Of Me (2020).[1][2] The soundtrack album to Abattoir was released by Filmtrax in 2016.[3] Other films Sayfritz worked on include Dark Tide (2012, as Mark "Dog" Sayfritz), Dead Man Running (2009) and Until Death (2008).[3][4]

His concert music symphony, Sound of Light, inspired by the Aurora Northern Lights and written in collaboration with artificial intelligence, had its premiere at the Brahms Saal Musikverein in Vienna in 2020.[1]

Personal life

In 2021 Sayfritz married singer & recording artist Siobhan Fahey (Shakespears Sister, Bananarama).[5]
