Mani Manavalan is an Indian software engineer currently working at Capgemini America as a senior manager. He has over a decade’s experience working as an IT professional with a diverse portfolio working for leading multinational firms such as Cognizant, L&T Infotech, Accenture, and others.[1]
Manavalan specializes in developing integration and API solutions and is proficient in Maven, Kubernetes, Git/GitHub, Nexpose, Nessus, Jenkins CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, and API OWASP. He is considered as one of the leading IT experts, who holds several industry-specific certifications and has been featured in several media outlets like WBOC,[2] Marketwatch,[3] Yahoo, Latestly,[4] and others.[5]
Early life and education
Manavalan was born in Sengal, a small village in Karur, Tamil Nadu, India. He grew up with an elder sister - Kalpana, raised by parents Manavalan and Menaka. His father during that time worked as a truck driver, and his mother, a housewife.
Manavalan completed his high school education from a Government Higher Secondary School in Karur. During this time he received several awards for his educational excellence and was even featured in local newspapers.
In 2004, Manavalan enrolled in Anna University, where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication. Later in 2011, he went to BITS Pilani and acquired a master’s degree in System Software.
Career
Manavalan started his career in 2008, right after completing his bachelor’s course. He joined Lucid Software Limited as a software engineer, where he worked for two years. In 2010, Manavalan joined Accenture as a senior programmer, where he served for over two years.
In 2012, Manavalan started working at L&T Infotech as a technical architect, where he worked for over six years. He also served internationally while working with this firm, moving between Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and the USA.
In 2018, Manavalan joined Cognizant as a technology architect, where he served for over two years. As of 2021, Manavalan is a senior manager at Capgemini America.
