Manas Mehrotra (born June 4, 1983) is an Indian serial entrepreneur, investor, and educationist known for his contributions across various sectors, including education, co-working spaces, healthcare, and real estate.[1] He is the founder and managing director of NestaVera Group of Companies, a diversified business conglomerate. Over the years, Mehrotra has invested in over 42 businesses in India, Singapore, and Dubai.[2]

Mehrotra is the founder and chairman of 315Work Avenue, a renowned co-working space provider.[3] With over 16 years of experience in education, Mehrotra serves as a trustee at Greenwood International High School and as the chief mentor at Kara4Kids.[4] Throughout his career, Mehrotra has been recognized with several awards, including the 40 Under 40 Influential Leaders by Asia One, the APJ Abdul Kalam Excellence Award, and Most Influential Educators 2023 by Education Today.[5]

Early life and education

Mehrotra was born and raised in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, to Ramji Mehrotra and Sushma Mehrotra. He graduated high school from Sydenham College, Mumbai, and earned a bachelor’s degree in law from K.C. Law College. In 2006, Mehrotra became a chartered accountant. In 2007, he relocated to the United States to pursue higher education at Babson College, Massachusetts, earning a master’s degree in entrepreneurship in 2008.

Career

Mehrotra started his career in 2006 as a global tax advisor at Ernst & Young (Mumbai).[6]

In 2010, driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, Mehrotra conceptualized the NestaVera Group of Companies. The company is a diversified conglomerate with interests in real estate, co-working, private equity, and trading. With a geographical presence in India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, NestaVera is recognized for its innovative solutions, investment ventures, and partnership services. Over the years, NestaVera has invested in over 52 businesses, including notable entities like 315Work Avenue, Kara4Kids, ProPhysio, and Greenwood High.[7]

In 2018, Mehrotra established 315Work Avenue, a co-working space provider focusing on enterprise solutions. With Mehrotra as its founder and chairman, the company manages 2 million square feet of space, totaling around 40,000 seats across multiple prime locations in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, and Pune. The company offers shared office spaces to companies seeking a seamless working ecosystem. 315Work Avenue is certified by the British Safety Council for its COVID-19 control policies and ISO certified for hospitality and safety standards. 15Work Avenue has been recognized with awards such as the 'Best Emerging Coworking Enterprise Office Brand' and the "Best Coworking Brand National-2023" by Realty+. The company aims to be a one-stop solution for a “complete workspace experience” by providing a range of amenities and hosting multi-faceted events for employees. Additionally, it signed one of the largest coworking deals in 2023 with BNY Mellon, leasing 1.62 lakh square feet in Pune to the Fortune 500 company.

Mehrotra started his career as an educationist in 2008. His involvement in the education sector includes his trusteeship at Greenwood High International School, Bangalore, established in 2004. The school offers IB, IGCSE, and ICSE curricula and has garnered numerous national awards under his leadership.[8]

Mehrotra is the chief mentor at Kara4Kids, a preschool and daycare facility with branches in Bangalore and Chennai, offering programs for infants, toddlers, and children up to six years old. Kara4Kids provides comprehensive programs, including pre-nursery, nursery, and kindergarten; after-school care; emergency daycare; and special needs care.[9]

To promote wellness, Mehrotra has invested in ProPhysio, offering proactive health solutions backed by modern technology and medical science to foster healthier lifestyles for individuals. Awards and recognitions.[10]

Personal life

Mehrotra resides in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He is married to Prachi Mehrotra, and they have three children named Nandika, Yajur, and Saanvi Mehrotra. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, exploring history, and engaging in various sports.
