Lyubomyr (also known as Lou) Reverchuk is a Ukrainian IT entrepreneur and known as a co-founder and CEO of EchoGlobal[1] a company focused on software development and tech talent recruitment. His background in web development and talent acquisition has helped grow a small Lviv-based startup into an international staffing firm connecting global companies with top IT professionals, primarily from Eastern Europe and LATAM.

Education

Born in 1985, Reverchuk developed an early interest in technology, spending much of his childhood experimenting with computers. He completed a Master of Science degree in Computer Studies from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. He later strengthened his business skills through a Business Development course at Lviv IT School and the Entrepreneurship Essentials program at Harvard Business School Online.

Career

Early Career

After completing his studies, Reverchuk gained experience in both technical and marketing roles. He worked as a freelance web developer and digital marketer, as mentioned in his interview, and later as an IT specialist at Kredobank.[1] These roles gave him a solid understanding of software development, clients’ needs and business processes, which later supported his move into entrepreneurship.

Founding of Echo

In May 2013, at the age of 28, Lou founded EchoUA, later renamed EchoGlobal, in his hometown of Lviv, Ukraine. The company was established as a boutique information technology services firm specializing in the recruitment and management of dedicated software engineering teams. Its business model centered on sourcing software developers from Eastern Europe and placing them with startups and product-oriented companies primarily based in the United States and the United Kingdom. In addition to talent recruitment, the company provides operational support for distributed teams, including HR, payroll, and legal compliance. The company emphasized selective recruitment practices and long-term client engagements within the outsourcing market.[2]

Growth and Achievements

Over the following decade, EchoGlobal expanded its operations and client base across Europe and North America, providing services to startups and established enterprises, including a Fortune 500 company. During this period, the company continued operations amid external challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine. EchoGlobal achieved a 36% increase in staff and a 51% revenue increase in 2022[3] The company also obtained ISO/IEC 27001 certification, reflecting compliance with international information security management standards.[4]

Industry involvement

In addition to his role at EchoGlobal, Lou has participated in professional and industry networks related to entrepreneurship and technology. He is a member of the Young Business Club (YBC) and serves as a mentor within the GrowthMentor community, where he provides guidance to startup founders and professionals. Reverchuk has contributed commentary on topics such as technology, recruitment, and leadership through industry publications and professional forums. He has been featured or quoted in outlets including HubSpot,[5] Fast Company,[6] StartupNation,[7] Breezy,[8] and Recruitee. In December 2024, he was recognized as a LinkedIn Top Voice. Through these engagements, Reverchuk has established himself as a thought leader who bridges the gap between global tech talent and business needs, often offering lessons drawn from his own experiences as a CEO.[9]

Personal life

Reverchuk is married and has three children. He has often expressed his interest in travelling and physical activity. He is an avid squash player and enjoys walking.
