Lior Div is the co-founder and CEO of Computer security. He is an expert in Offensive Security, digital forensics, reverse engineering, malware analysis, and cryptography.[1] He was also the CEO and co-founder of AlfaTech, a cybersecurity solutions provider, from 2007 to 2012.[2]

Div was awarded the Head of Intelligence Corps Medal of Honor for outstanding achievements as a commander and leader of Unit 8200, an elite cybersecurity group in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Early Life and Education

Div said that he overcame his dyslexia early on in life and “learned how to read by reverse-engineering his] first-grade teacher's reading comprehension methods.”[3]

After graduating high school, Div attended college at The Academic College of Tel-Aviv-Yafo. He graduated with honors in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in computer science.[4]

Div joined the military at age 18.[5] He served for six years as a cybersecurity expert in Israel Defense Forces Unit 8200. Eventually, he became commander of over 20 people in the unit, a leadership position for which he received the Head of Intelligence Corps Medal of Honor.

AlfaTech

Prior to co-founding Cybereason, Lior founded a cybersecurity services company, AlfaTech, that provided services to government agencies.

Cybereason

Div started Cybereason in 2012 with co-founders Yonatan Striem-Amit and Yossi Naar, two fellow Israel entrepreneurs.[6]

Cybereason is a cybersecurity company that developed the Cybereason XDR Platform, an Endpoint security protection platform.[7] The company headquarters are located in Boston, with additional office locations in London, Tokyo, and Tel Aviv. Cybereason has raised approximately $400 million in funding since 2014, and it reached Unicorn (finance) status in 2019.[8]

Cybereason has an elite cybersecurity research team called Nocturnus that has been involved in the defense and investigation of several global cyberattacks. Most recently, it took part in investigating “Operation GhostShell” and DeadRinger[9][10]
