Kounal Gupta is an Indian entrepreneur, author, and keynote speaker.[1] He is the founder of Henry Harvin Education, a leading career and competency development organization headquartered in Noida, India and San Francisco, USA. Gupta is recognized as one of India’s youngest successful Edtech entrepreneurs and is known for inspiring teenage entrepreneurship.[2][3]

Gupta is the author of The Only Content Writing Handbook You'll Ever Need and has also published 6 research papers including an Award-Winning Research Publication in Six Sigma domain by IEEE. He is also a keynote speaker and is often seen at conferences and industry events.

Gupta is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur and has been featured for his accomplishments in several media outlets such as Aaj Tak, News World India, NewsX, Economic Times, Business World, Hindustan Times, The Hindu, Pioneer, Statesman, India Today, and others.[4][5]

Early life and education

Gupta was born in New Delhi. He completed his high school education at Delhi Public School as a Gold Medallist. During this time, he attained Academic Excellence for 8 consecutive years.

Gupta then enrolled in Delhi College of Engineering, where he acquired a degree in Industrial Engineering. Later, Gupta went to SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), where he pursued a master’s degree in Business Administration.


Gupta started his entrepreneurial journey when he was 17 years old. Soon after completing high school, along with his college studies Gupta managed to travel to China, over 10 cities PAN India & Srilanka exploring different business opportunities to get real-world experience of working on-ground.[6]

From 2012-2014, Gupta did various projects with both corporates and startups. He joined Unilever as a marketing and sales analyst where he worked for a year on a market research project in East Delhi Division. He then joined Grant Thorton as a business analyst. Gupta worked for a year with this firm on a strategic advisory project. He then worked at Aditya Birla Group as a Six Sigma consultant. During his time there, he applied the Six Sigma Methodology and Data Visualization Diagrams in a product packaging damage problem.

Throughout his career, Gupta has offered his services in multiple industries such as Electronics, FMCG, and Construction. He has executed key assignments with Grant Thornton, HUL, Alstone Lanka, Dalmia Cements, and several other prolific firms.

In 2013, Gupta established Henry Harvin Education, becoming the first teenager to start an Edtech company. This award-winning institute focuses on training, skill development, assessment centers, content services, and higher education. Under the leadership of Gupta, up till 2020, Henry Harvin has acquired a customer base of over 3,00,000+ students spread across 97 countries globally. It is also a training partner to over 120 top colleges PAN India including 19+ IIM’s and 14+ IIT’s including IIM-A, B, C at the same time. It has also offered its services to leading companies such as Koch, NTPC, Abbott, Lufthansa, IBM, GAP, NIIT, HDFC Bank, Wipro, and others.[7]
