The Korean Peninsula is home to the Korean people, who belong to the East Asian ethnic group known as Koreans.

The majority of Koreans reside in one of the two nations that make up the Korean Peninsula: North Korea or South Korea (collectively and simply referred to as just Korea). They are also an ethnic minority that is legally recognised in several nations in Asia, such as China, Japan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. There are also substantial groups of Koreans living in Europe, particularly in Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. During the course of the 20th century, Korean communities have also established throughout the Americas (particularly in the United States and Canada), as well as in Oceania.

An estimated 7.3 million people of Korean descent were living in countries other than Korea as of the year 2021.
