Keenan Noir Kelly (born on February 22, 1990), commonly known as Kfearless, is an African American video director and cinematographer.[1][2] He is a self-taught director, cinematographer, and editor best known for his music videos Show Me You Love Me and Prices.[3] He is an award-winning video director and the founder of Krude Films, a video production brand that allows exceptional artists to showcase their talent.[4]

Early life and education

Kfearless was born and brought up on the south side of Chicago with two brothers and two sisters. His father is from Kingston, Jamaica, and his mother is from the south side of Chicago. Since both of his parents were involved in the creative field, his father in fine arts and his mother in the film space, it had an influence on Kelly as a kid. He became interested in video directing while attending college. Pursuing his interest, Kfearless got himself a camera during his second year. Thereafter, he began shooting vlogs for a Chicago urban clothing line called Saklife, capturing the day-to-day of the company.

Kfearless holds a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication from National American University.

Career

Kfearless began taking video directing seriously around 2016, alongside his cousin Michael Kelly, who is known by his musical stage name CrestIsMuzik. Together, they worked on multiple projects to build a name and catalog of work. Kelly shot his first official music video called "Bussin," written by CrestIsMuzik, which received positive feedback.[5][6]

In the desire to provide a platform to fresh talents, Kfearless created his own video brand called Krude Films, with the name being derived from the word "crude," which means natural or raw state. He replaced the first letter in crude with the first initial in his name, which is the letter K. From there on, Kelly continued to develop his skills through trial and error, shooting numerous videos and working with notable figures such as Korporate, Lil Durk, Chief Wuk, Vi The Boss, and more.[7]

Kfearless is also a well-known name in the Chicago dancehall scene as a member of the Fearless Squad Dancers that officially started in 2009. He came third in the Midwest Dancehall King competition, 2010.
