Michael Papas (born 15 December 2000), better known as Kavorka, is an Australian DJ.[1] He is best known for his unique style of music and high energy performances on stage. Kavorka specializes in Melbourne Bounce, EDM & House Music, and is regarded as the genre's most prolific up and coming artist.

Kavorka has gained recognition for his debut single on Vigorus Records, titled Your Heart, which ranked #8 on the Big Room Beatport Charts. His next release Rave In Melbourne feat. Geistare, then ranked at #10 in the Electro-House Beatport charts.[2] Kavorka has been featured in the We Rave You Magazine for his single with Brooke Evers, titled In My Soul. He was also nominated for the Triple J Hottest 100 list for his Richmond Tigers Theme Song Remix. Kavorka received mainstream popularity for his songs Your Heart, Rave in Melbourne, In My Soul, Where Are We Going,[3] and That Beat, to name a few.

Apart from his career in the music industry, Kavorka is also a leading social media influencer with a rapidly increasing fan-following across various platforms such as YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. He has gained recognition for his short lip-sync videos and collaborative projects with multiple brands.[4]

Early life and education

Michael was born on 15 December 2000 in Melbourne, Australia, with Greek roots. He completed his high school education at Camberwell Grammar School and then later acquired a college degree from RMIT University.

Michael’s passion for DJing bloomed when he was 14 years old, and bought his first music software purchase of FL Studio. He began making his own remixes and played them at local house parties in Camberwell.

Career

Kavorka made his debut in the music industry with the release of his first single Work It Hard in 2017. He soon got the opportunity to play headliner at numerous events across the city soon after his music gained popularity at the local house parties. He is best known for his ability to capture the audience with heavy interaction and upbeat dialogue.

Kavorka’s sets at these events attracted the industry professionals resulting in him signing up with That Sound Agency in 2018. Since the beginning of his career, Kavorka has released ten singles, all of which have gained huge popularity. His music has been supported by several leading Australian artists including Will Sparks, Timmy Trumpet, Teddy Cream, Tigerlily, Brooke Evers, Press Play, and others.

Apart from that, Kavorka is also a rising social media influencer known for his YouTube Vlogs and short lip-sync videos on Tik Tok. He is also actively collaborating with several local brands on Instagram and other social media platforms.[5]

Personal life

Michael is a health enthusiast and loves to workout at the gym when he's not performing. He is also passionate about exploring new places and desires to travel the world. Kavorka’s physical appearance often reflects his love for streetwear, and he also has a huge collection of Nike shoes.
