Joseph Sarcona is an American logistics and finance executive who currently serves as the president of JJS Transportation & Distribution Co., Inc. and managing partner at Willow Court Capital Management.[1] He has over two decades of professional experience, including 16 years at Morgan Stanley. Sarcona is also a member of the American Trucking Associations.[2]
Sarcona is regarded for his ability to build and manage multi-disciplinary businesses from the ground up and scale them to generate better ROI. His experience and expertise includes asset management, real estate, logistics, and transportation.
Early life and education
Sarcona was born and brought up in New York. After graduating from Garden City High School, he enrolled in Fairfield University in Connecticut, where he pursued his undergraduate studies. During this time, he spent a year studying international business in Tokyo, Japan, at Sophia University. Sarcona graduated from Fairfield University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Finance.
Career
Sarcona started his career in 2000 at Morgan Stanley as a derivatives trading assistant and later moved on to executive roles. He spent 16 years with Morgan Stanley, ultimately serving as global head of electronic trading distribution for the firm's Rates and Credit division. Earlier, he spent four years living and working in Hong Kong as Morgan Stanley's Asia Pacific head of electronic trading and also served as a North American listed options specialist for electronic trading in New York.
Sarcona currently serves as a president of the full-service logistics company JJS Transportation & Distribution based on Long Island, New York. He became president of the company in 2018. Since then, he has overseen JJS’ warehousing, distribution, and trucking services in the Tri-State Area. He also guides the firm’s other logistics solutions, which include on-demand full truckload delivery, bonded transfers, pier deliveries, and TSA screening.
Sarcona splits his time between JJS and Willow Court Capital Management, where he serves as a managing partner. Willow Court supports clients in the real estate, transportation, logistics, and asset management industries, helping them scale their businesses through targeted growth initiatives, acquisitions, and other strategies.
Personal life
Sarcona is a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and Mets. He coaches flag football as a volunteer in his free time. He is also an avid traveler and has enjoyed trips to Italy, Japan, and Hong Kong, among other destinations.
