Jithin Tharikh V M is a Middle East-based Indian origin self-made Entrepreneurship, Businessperson and Tourism professional. He is the chairman and managing director of J.Tharikh Group.[1] Also he is the founder and chief executive officer for World's First Corporate Business Development (CBD) concept Agency Sixteen by Jithin Tharikh Which is a Dubai, United Arab Emirates-based initiative.

Early life and family

Jithin Tharikh was born and raised in Kalamassery which is a place in Kochi in Kerala, India. His father and family has a political life background in few National political parties. His father was a member of Indian National Congress party and one of his Uncle Zakir Hussain[2] is a Communist Party of India (Marxist)[3] leader[4] from Kalamassery Constituency[5] who is appeared in several times in media.[6][7][8][9][10]

His Grandfather Imbichi Ahammed Ali was a migrant from Kadalundi, Kozhikode (Malabar District region of Kerala) who was settle down in middle Kerala (Travancore-Kochi) during 1950s. His Great-grandfather Kunjali Marakkar was prisoned for 20 years by British Raj in Malabar rebellion Malabar rebellion (Mappila Malabar rebellion) a part of Indian Independence movement happened in 1920s, when his grandfather was 6 years old. His Grandfather became a Self-made man person and a Leadership (Mooppan or Srank) of Malabar District Mappila Muslims Khalasi people after 20 years imprison of his Great-grandfather by British Raj.

In the 1950s the Central Government of India owned company Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore located in Eloor industrial area called up for a high skilled labours from Malabar Coast, at that time His Grandfather joined as a department head in Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore[11] and build a family house (Vellodath Tharavad) to settled down in Kalamassery, the place adjacent to Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore.[12] Also His grandfather countinued the legacy of Vellodath Tharavad (formerly Vellodathil) Which was migrated from Calicut, the Malabar region of Kerala And the grandfather became more popular by his leadership and talent in various sectors.[13]

Personal life and education

At the age of 6, his parents separated and started Law procedure for mutual divorce, at that time Jithin Tharikh was taken to a Boarding School by his father. He was in the boarding Schooling for 6 years and completed lower primary education.

At the age of 12, his father taken him to the family house at kalamassery along with his younger sister. He completed his upper primary and high school education within the situation of a broken family, he grown up with a struggling childhood.

He was interested in sports and he joined in a cricket club in Thrippunithura when he was 14 years of age. At the age of 16, he stopped schooling after 11th standard because of several family related reasons and started working as a newspaper boy earned Rs.500 as a first earning.

At the age of 17, he studied in a film school in Kochi City and started trying to work in Malayalam Film Industry. He worked 4 years in various film production houses as production coordinator and assistant. He restarted his education at his 21st age, and joined Indira Gandhi National Open University for Bachelor's degree in Tourism (BTS). During the same time He involved in Few Service businesses and started his own entrepreneurship as a sole Ownership at the age of 22. He pursued his Master of Business Administration in Operations management from University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.[14]

Business career

Jithin Tharikh started his first entrepreneurship as a sole Ownership in Event management and Hospitality industry at the age of 22.[15] He could run the business[16] As an Event manager and event director for 4 years during time period of 2015-2018.[17] He completed his bachelor's degree in Tourism at the same time.[18][19]

As a tourism professional he turned to Travel and Tourism business at his 25th age.[20] And as a next level business expansion[21][22] He started his first Private limited company at his 25th age in Service industry[23] which is registered under the name J.THARIKH WORLDWIDE PRIVATE LIMITED.[24] It was the beginning of J.THARIKH GROUP in 2017 September and the group mainly focused[25] on Service sector like Tourism, Hospitality industry and[26] Recreation Businesses.[27] He later faced a bank debt of about 2.5 million Indian rupee after the 2018 Kerala floods which is horribly affected in various sectors in Tourism industry and allied businesses in Kerala in 2018.[28][29][30]

In 2019, Jithin Tharikh Moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates for a new beginning as an Entrepreneurship.[31] He worked as a Tourism professional in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for a year then planned to launch his another entrepreneurship SIXTEEN BY JITHIN THARIKH which is the World's first Corporate Business Development (CBD Concept) agency. The COVID-19 pandemic made the business idea and establishing plan on hold.[32][33]
