Early life and education

Wendt was always inspired by his father's work ethic and hard work with which he provided for a family of eight. Wendt had a challenging childhood because his parents divorced when he was three years old. Wendt attended high school in Pine Bush, New York and attended Brigham Young University, Idaho, immediately upon graduation. After completing two semesters, Wendt moved to Nicaragua to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus of Latter-Day Saints. He returned after two years, rejoined the university, and completed his Bachelor’s degree.

After completing his education, Wendt joined DishOne as a sales representative and sold satellite TV and internet solutions to consumers across the country. With his skills, he soon became the top performer at DishOne. After getting promoted to sales manager, Wendt was offered a leadership position in the training department, where he implemented a training program called “Edison,” which is now used company-wide. In 2018, when DishOne was renamed Caliber Smart, Wendt took up the position of Vice President of Training and Marketing. In 2020, Ian joined Signal Relief as the Chief Marketing Officer.[3]

In October 2020, Wendt founded Official Patriot Gear, a clothing brand based in the USA that sells T-shirts, hats, hoodies, and more. Its products are worn by people around the world to represent freedom and patriotic values.[4]

With his varied experience and skills in sales, marketing, training and leadership, Wendt continues to coach companies and individuals to attend high-performance levels in their professional and personal lives.
