Ionix is an Israeli attack surface management company that provides visibility into an organization's internet-facing assets and its digital supply chain.[1]

Ionix's expertise in attack surface management has made it a leader in the industry. Its focus on connective intelligence, along with its ability to accurately map an organization's attack surface and identify potential risks, has given it a competitive edge over other providers.[2]

History

Ionix was founded in 2016 as Cyberpion[3] by Dr. Nethanel Gelernter, Ran Nahmias, and Ori Engelberg, with its headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel.[4] The company was rebranded as Ionix in March 2023.[5] The founders of Ionix came up with the idea to establish the company in response to the growing number and severity of cyberattacks targeting external enterprise assets. These attacks were affecting governments, businesses of all sizes, and SMBs, often without the targeted organizations even realizing they were under attack. Recognizing the need for action, the founders decided to establish Ionix to address this critical issue.[6][7]

Platform

Ionix makes use of connective intelligence, a tool that precisely maps an organization's actual attack surface and digital supply chain, to identify exploitable hazards throughout the organization's web of interconnected dependencies. It identifies more organizational assets than any other provider, enabling it to proactively prevent attacks.[8][9]

The Ionix ASM Platform is a potent attack surface management tool that makes use of machine learning and connective intelligence to identify and keep track of every connection and asset that has an internet-facing component. Ionix gives security professionals fewer warnings and less noise, so they can respond more quickly to the most urgent problems by concentrating on real hazards with a wide blast radius.[10]

Ionix's machine learning-powered discovery engine, contextual risk assessment, prioritization, and end-to-end remediation workflows have made it a preferred choice for global leaders like Infosys, The Telegraph, Warner Music Group, and E.ON. These organizations rely on Ionix to manage their complex and ever-changing attack surfaces.[11]

During its seed round, Ionix secured $8.25 million in funding from investors including Team8 Capital and Hyperwise Ventures.[12] Following a remarkable growth of 250% in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in 2022, Ionix went on to raise an additional $27 million in Series A funding, with U.S. Venture Partners leading the investment alongside existing investors.[13][14]
