This studio was founded in 2019 by James Murphy, Theresa Hilsden, Justing Lowings and Miles Paulley.[2] Hocus Pocus Studios derives its name from a Kurt Vonnegut novel, suggesting this company Kurt strives to create colourful, personality driven films that sparkle.[3]
In a year of its inception, Hocus Pocus Studios has worked on numerous short films and commercials for major brands and companies like American Express, Medela, Heineken, LEGO, Channel 4 and others. Hocus Pocus Studios was the recipient of Pixies motion graphics award 2019.[4]
