HedgePay is a decentralized finance platform dedicated to improving economic stability and enabling economic freedom.[1] It addresses various challenges in the crypto industry, such as lack of control, asset volatility, risky operations, and technical barriers. By offering cryptocurrency services, HedgePay democratizes profits and generates passive income for investors through a reward pool.[2] This inclusive approach allows everyone to benefit and participate in the growth of their investments.[3]

With a strong emphasis on security, accessibility, and rewarding contributions, HedgePay aims to create a trusted platform that provides accessible and rewarding cryptocurrency services for its users.[4]

History

HedgePay was established in 2021, by a diverse team of entrepreneurs and professionals from the United States, Malaysia, and Europe. The team consists of Mason Peck as the founder and CEO, Dan B as the co-founder and lead developer, and Edwin Ho as the co-founder and director. Their objective was to address the problems faced by crypto portfolios and provide solutions for contributors in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. It aims to give contributors complete control over their contributions and reduce the risks associated with crypto assets and operations. The platform also focuses on accessibility, ensuring that a new class of contributors can participate in decentralized finance (DeFi) and generate passive rewards.[5][6]

HedgePay offers an automatic reward generation system that uses smart contracts and advanced algorithms to distribute rewards to users' accounts. This feature provides a steady stream of income that can offset potential losses and increase overall profitability. Another unique feature of HedgePay is its SmartSwap technology, which allows users to exchange HedgePay tokens for other cryptocurrencies securely and at a low cost without using a centralized exchange.[7]

Platform & features

  • Control over Direction - HedgePay operates on a decentralized ecosystem, allowing contributors to have complete control and ownership over the transfer of value. Contributors hold the HPAY tokens, and HedgePay handles the staking protocols to provide a constant source of rewards. HedgePay distributes rewards to HPAY holders, reflecting only a 2% performance tax that is used to improve the overall health of the ecosystem.
  • Risk Reduction - HedgePay reduces the risk of losses by implementing AMM mechanics, such as arbitrage and swaps, to provide better control over risk reduction. The platform ties its liquidity to stable cryptocurrencies, reducing the probability of losses by utilizing buyback mechanics and mitigating associated risks. The portfolio is built on a proven token metric theory and carefully chosen crypto and DeFi strategies to minimize operational liability and risks.
  • Accessibility - HedgePay aims to make rewards accessible to all contributors. The platform uses a token-based system called "HPAY" tokens, allowing for one-step contributions. By holding HPAY tokens, users can generate passive rewards through the HedgeFi Risk-Reduction Algorithm. HedgePay's unique tokenomics strategy ensures indefinite rewards resistant to volatility, enabling users to maximize their rewards or claim them earlier based on personal requirements.
  • Perpetual DeFi-Powered Rewards - HedgePay offers multiple mechanisms to generate active and passive rewards from HPAY tokens. Top HPAY holders can unlock BUSD HedgeFi rewards, which are recommended to be removed monthly for improved token security. Holders can also stake their HPAY tokens to earn more rewards through the buyback-powered staking service. Additionally, HedgePay provides a bounty service that rewards holders for completing various operations, ensuring a steady monthly reward flow.

Security

HedgePay prioritizes security in its operations. The platform utilizes smart contracts built upon a modular and secure architecture, ensuring the highest level of security for transactions and eliminating the need for intermediaries. The platform incorporates encryption at every stage to protect transaction data from unauthorized access. HedgePay also leverages the GNOSIS Safe Wallet, a trusted platform for managing compliant tokens, to enhance the security of HedgeFi's tokenomics.[8]

Tokenomics

HedgePay has a well-defined tokenomics structure with a total supply of 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) HPAY tokens. The initial price of the HPAY token is $0.0048 per token. The development team's revenue is capped at 3% of the circulating supply. The tokens generated from each transaction contribute to the HedgeFi algorithm, which distributes rewards to HPAY holders. A small performance tax of 2% is applied, and most of the rewards (80%) are distributed in BUSD (stable crypto) directly to HPAY holders.[9]

Partnerships

In March 2023, HedgePay formed a partnership with Business d’Or, a business-oriented website, to obtain valuable resources and enhance its services. This partnership allows HedgePay access to the latest research, data, and insights on the crypto industry to remain current and deliver up-to-date information to its clients. The collaboration also strengthens HedgePay's reputation and credibility within the industry, positioning it as a reliable leader and drawing in a broader range of clients seeking dependable crypto services.[10]

Other strategic partners of HedgePay include Coin Store, Local Trade, Coub, SIG, Code Chef, CoinGecko, Blocksultancy, Paypal, WIse, OX Pay, Apple Pay, and several others.[11]
