Hazim Gaber is a mechanical engineer with business and technology experience, specializing in cybersecurity and cyberlaw. He is the current CEO of ehZee Engineering Corporation and HSM group, an engineering and technology services provider.[1]
Education and career
Hazim Gaber’s natural curiosity for how things worked led to a passion for mechanical engineering.[2] He attended MacEwan University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2013. He also attended the University of Calgary in 2014. Gaber graduated from the University of Alberta in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.[3]
Beginning in 2017, Gaber worked as an instructor with Udemy. One of his courses, Design & Deploy an Enterprise WiFi Network, has been used by over 2,000 students. He is also an author, having written 9 guides on passing various exams and certifications in his field, two guides to cybersecurity and cyberlaw, and an additional book on understanding computer networks.[4]
Since 2018, he has served as the CEO for ehZee Engineering Corporation.[5] He is also the CEO of HSM Global, a technology services provider for small businesses, enterprises, and government agencies.[6] He previously worked with Walmart, Ford, GM, and Apple.[7] Other clients include government agencies and those in the hospitality, manufacturing, energy, and telecommunications sectors.[8]
Gaber holds certifications for Cisco, Creston, EMC, and VMWare. He works in designing and executing security, VOIP, WiFi, WANs, storage systems, digital signage, audio visual, surveillance systems, and structured cabling systems projects. He can also code in C++, Perl, Java, PHP, and JavaScript.[9]
Additional activities
Gaber speaks English, Arabic, French, and Spanish.[10] He is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.[11] He regularly volunteers with the Canadian Diabetes Association and donates to various philanthropic organizations, such as the Society for Canadian Women in Science & Technology.[12]
