Hanni Heinrich is a German actress, creative consultant, and freelance journalist best known for her roles in Resident Evil,[1] The Fix, and Points of View.[2] Hanni is also a writer who likes to talk about sustainable travel, alternative medicine, and mental health.[3][4]

Early life and education

Hanni was born in Merseburg, Germany. She developed an interest in acting as a six-year old after watching fairy tales on TV. Thereafter, Hanni started acting in the local theater's children's group, followed by her first stage appearance as "The Good Bird" as a seven-year-old.

Hanni attended the University of Tübingen to pursue her Masters in Communication and Media Studies.

Career

Hanni decided to make her career in journalism and writing following her fascination with the art of storytelling and communication. After receiving her training at Zeitenspiegel Reportageschule, Hanni worked for STERN.de, Spiegel, Hamburger Abendblatt, and various advertising agencies. As a writer, Hanni is passionate about topics like women’s identity, lifestyle, and sustainable travel.[5][6]

Chasing her childhood passion, Hanni honed her acting skills by attending various international workshops, which later helped her in her roles in both television and film.[7] She made her debut in Points of View, a television movie, in 2013, and since then has never looked back. It was in 2019 that Hanni got an opportunity to share the screen with well-known stars Mackenzie Foy and Ian Glen in another variation of Black Beauty, where she played the role of Mrs. Gordon.[8][9]

Hanni played the role of Janet in her recent television series, Resident Evil.[10] She believes that both traveling and acting are the best ways to learn about herself. This is why she started DeinKapstadt, a digital community that encourages individuals to rediscover themselves through visiting Cape Town.[11]

Continuing her passion for writing, Hanni joined Jellyfish as the Content Director in August 2021.[12]
