Giovanni Brees is a Belgian entrepreneur, digital marketing expert, growth hacker, advisor and author.[1] After a thriving career as an sales & marketing consultant for companies around the world, he found himself seeking opportunities in the field of business strategies and new business developent, which resulted in the creation of BoostYourCampaign, a crowdfunding & product launch agency.[2]
With over 15 years of experience, Brees has contributed to online marketing, big data, product launches, blockchain and go-to-market strategies. To date he has raised over 480,000,000 USD on popular crowdfunding platforms, including Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and WeFunder.[3]
As a co-founder of BYC Media and BoostYourCampaign, Brees’ work has been featured in publications such as The Huffington Post, The Guardian, Mashable, The New York Times, Bloomberg, and Forbes. His expertise extends to diverse domains and is acknowledged as an advisor for product launches, new markets & growth.[4]

Brees studied Science, and holds a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma at the New York Institute of Technology.
Career
Brees started his career in 2005 as a consultant at Bain & Company. Over the years, he has honed a diverse and multidisciplinary skill set, exhibiting expertise in online marketing, startups, sales, and go-to-market strategies. He has launched products in different markets, from the USA to Brazil and Europe. Brees has collaborated with various companies, from startups to SMEs and large enterprises.[5]
In 2010, Brees co-founded BYC Media, a growth agency, and BoostYourCampaign, a crowdfunding marketing agency.[6] Initially established as a conversion rate optimization (CRO) agency, BoostYourCampaign expanded its focus to specialize in crowdfunding marketing. Leveraging their expertise, the company successfully executed product launch campaigns on popular crowdfunding platforms, earning substantial acclaim and attracting requests for crowdfunding assistance on platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo.[7]
Over the years, Brees has garnered a reputation for his proficiency in go-to-market strategies, crowdfunding, growth marketing, paid ads and product launches. His clientele includes projects and partnerships with notable companies, including P&G, Sennheiser and Luxottica. His contributions to the startup community culminated in the launch of The Startup Challenge in 2016, demonstrating his dedication to supporting and empowering entrepreneurs
In 2023, Brees introduced copyapp.ai, a startup in the AI market sector dedicated to assisting users in crafting exceptional ad copy, engaging social media posts, and much more.
In January 2023, Brees released his debut book, "The Crowdfunding Quick-Guide." The book is a comprehensive resource, providing valuable insights and strategies for crowdfunding to raise funds, launch products, and enhance sales. The book covers various aspects of crowdfunding campaigns, addressing crucial questions and offering post-campaign approaches for sustained success.
