Gal Yosef (born July 7, 1994) is an Israeli Painter, Sculptor, and 3D Artist. He is the co-founder of Meta Eagle Club,[1] a bespoke NFT project boasting a collection of 12,000 unique eagle avatars.[2] Yosef is currently signed with Eden Gallery,[3] a gallery known for featuring and connecting a diverse range of artists from the art, tech, and luxury industry located in New York, London, Miami, Mykonos, Dubai, and Aspen. He is regarded for being the youngest artist to have signed with this gallery.[4]

Yosef rose to popularity in 2020 with the release of his Iconic Series collection. He is currently regarded as one of the most influential role models in 3D art who has gained mass recognition for his cartoon-style avatars.[5]

Yosef has worked with celebrities such as Justin Beiber and DJ Steve Aoki with whom he collaborated to make one-of-a-kind NFT that sold for $214,000 at a Sotheby's auction. He has also been associated with a number of brands such as Drew House, GCDS, Dior, and others.

Early life and education

Yosef was born and raised in Jerusalem. He is the middle child in a family of three children and a son to Amos and Noa who are owners of a clothing store. Yosef began exploring 3D design at the age of 12.

He completed his high school studies at ORT College in Jerusalem, where he majored in Biology. He then enlisted in the army, where he served in the IDF Spokesperson's Unit as a 3D artist. Married to Noa and they have a daughter together.

Career

Yosef was dismissed from the army in 2015 after completing his military service and went on to work as a freelance 3D and animation artist. He founded Fuzion Animation LTD., a branding and animation business, in January 2016.[6]

In 2020, he won the title "Artist of the Month" by the American Autodesk Corporation. In the same year, he also collaborated with Anna Zak, a renowned Israeli singer, actress, model, and celebrity to create a 3 animated video clips to her song in her latest EP album which garnered major social media traction.[7]

In 2021, Yosef was signed by Eden Gallery and within a year his artworks had sold for over $10 million. In April 2021, as part of a collaboration with art giant Ikonick, Yosef was chosen and appointed as the chief animator of Popeye the Sailor Man. In the same year, he also designed the artwork of the music album A Boogie vs Artist for the American rapper, singer, and songwriter Julius Dubose (A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie).

Yosef is the founder of Meta Eagle Club, which displays the first installment of a series of his own collections that make up the Galyverse digital art world.[8] The Galyverse's initial collection contains 12,000 enthralling eagle avatars. In collaboration with Eden Gallery and its cutting-edge NFT studio, RNSNC, the Meta Eagle Club will focus on helping NFT collectors by giving Eagle avatar owners actual artwork.[9]

Yousef has also participated in the Crypto Bulls Society project as an artist. It is a collection of bull avatars that sold out shortly after being released and generated more than $50 million in primary and secondary market sales.[10]
