Frederick Banks Du Rietz (born 26 September 1998) is an Australian film and television actor.

Career

Early Achievements

In 2016, Frederick won the Hugo Weaving Award for his graduate performance of "The Tribulations of Abacus Christy", written by Brett Heath.[1] He graduated from the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television in 2017.

Television

Frederick first appeared on ABC TV miniseries Friday On My Mind (miniseries) in 2017.[1]

In 2018, Frederick joined the cast of the Netflix series Secret City (TV series): Under the Eagle. He was nominated for an AACTA Awards for Best Male New Talent for his role as Robbie Lambert in 2019.[2][3] The show aired in Australia on Foxtel, Fox Showcase, and released internationally to Netflix.

In 2019, Frederick played the lead in a promotional video for LYNX Body spray, in partnership with Xbox.[4]

In 2021, Frederick appears as a recurring guest star on Amazing Grace (Australian TV series).[1]

Film

In 2019, Du Rietz starred in his first feature film, Bilched.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13] The film was positively received upon its national release in Australian cinemas.[14][15][16][17] Later that year, Bilched premiered in New York at the Chelsea Film Festival where it won three awards. One of which, was awarded to Frederick for Best Supporting Actor.[18]
