FireVerse (born November 16, 1999), is a Jamaican Dancehall singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He is the CEO of an independent record label, WrldClassic Records, owned and managed by him.[1]
FireVerse’s music is available on his website and all the music streaming platforms, such as YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and Discogs. He has been featured in several media outlets such as Calipost, Kazi Magazine, 24 Hip Hop, Disrupt magazine, and others.[2][3]
Early life and education
FireVerse was born Fabian Wayne Edwards in Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica. He was raised by his great-grandmother, Gretel Myrie. He was the first son to his parents and his mother, Hamarine Campbell, resided elsewhere. He graduated from Cross Keys High School.
Career
FireVerse has been singing since he was a teenager but discovered his professional musical career at 19. In 2018, he released his first single; Today is Not Yesterday. FireVerse incorporates a unique style inspired by multiple music genres, including dancehall, pop, reggaeton, reggae, reggae fusion, and hip-hop rap. After releasing his single Reggae Music (2021),[4] he started gaining recognition and is known for working alongside notable artists such as Luciano and Kreative. Some of his famous songs are Rate Yourself, Place Bun Up, and Dreams.[5]
FireVerse has shown a promising music career and worked with renowned record labels and producers, including WrldClassic Records, Swoonshop, and Dejuan Records. Popular EPs and albums released by FireVerse include Verse Edition, Rude, WrldClassic, Devil’s Work, and others. He established WrldClassic Records in 2018 and serves as its CEO.[6]
FireVerse gained widespread popularity in 2021 with the release of his single Reggae Music, featuring singer-songwriter Luciano and Kreative. On February 18, 2022, FireVerse collaborated with German record producer Swoonshop on the single Place Bun Up, which garnered the attention of European DJs and became a hit remix in Germany. FireVerse is also known to have released an EP titled From Insult to Injury in 2022.[7][8]
After his latest single, Dancehall Culture, in 2022, FireVerse was featured in the artist spotlight in several media outlets such as Disrupt, Honk Magazine, and Calipost.[9][10]
