History
ExpensePoint was founded in 2000 under the name GlobalPoint Technologies Inc.[6] The company was created with the aim to make the task of creating expense reports easy and hassle-free by automating the entire expense reporting workflow lifecycle. ExpensePoint has a vast team of qualified implementation managers that handle the consultation process and lead the implementation and training process.[7]
The company’s interface is designed in a user-friendly manner. Once the user uploads the receipt, ExpensePoint’s software scans it, codes it, and categorizes it accordingly, ultimately uploading it to the cloud. This interface also detects the credit card and debit card transactions and saves them for later, which are then added to the user’s expense report. The final report created by ExpensePoint’s software is then forwarded for management approval. Approvers are automatically notified when reports have been submitted. The highlighting feature of ExpensePoint’s software is that the receipts can be uploaded, read, and allocated for the generation of the expense report.[8]
