Evangelist Serena Ford is an American musician, evangelist, poet, pastor, business administrator, and personal care assistant. She is known for her commitment to spreading the Word of God through various ministries and music. Ford serves as a musician at the Institutional Church of Christ in Landover, Maryland, and has released several gospel songs, including "Lord, Send Your Peace to the Middle East," "The Holy Ghost Is Moving," and "Promised Blessings."[1]

Early life and education

Ford is the daughter of Bishop Boston Ford Jr. She graduated from De La Warr High School with a high school diploma in business and obtained a secretarial degree from Delaware Technical Community College.

Career

Ford has been actively involved in ministry for over 33 years, serving as a musician, praise and worship leader, and business administrator at various churches.[2]

She is the pastor's assistant president, associate minister, business administrator, and musician at Outreach Holy Word Christian Church in Wilmington, Delaware, where her father is the pastor.

Additionally, she serves as a musician at Mother African Union Church, Greater Exodus Baptist Church, and the Institutional Church of Christ in Landover, Maryland.

Her motto is "Reaching Out, Touching Souls through God's Word, Songs, and Prayer." On December 11, 2015, she launched Serena Ford Ministries to spread the gospel and save souls through outreach ministry services and events. She has been preaching and teaching the Word of God since her first sermon on December 5, 1997.

Ford has released over 10 gospel songs, including notable tracks like "Lord, Send Your Peace to the Middle East," "The Holy Ghost Is Moving," and "Promised Blessings." Her songs have been performed by the Delaware Baptist State Convention Choir, the Philadelphia Mass Choir, the University of Delaware Gospel Choir, and the Delaware Northern Valley of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. One of her original songs, "The Holy Ghost Is Moving," gained significant recognition and was re-recorded by The Legendary Dorothy Norwood & the Gospel Caravans in 2006 and by the 2010 Stellar Award Winner, Lonnie Hunter & Structure, in July 2010.
