Evan Luthra (born January 21, 1995) is an Indian technology entrepreneur, angel investor, speaker, and social media influencer known for his work in the app development industry.[1] He is the founder and CEO of EL Group International, a mobile application design and development firm catering to various Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, Luthra is the curator of Startup Studio and a member of the Forbes Technology Council.[2]

Luthra's extensive knowledge of the industry has led him to develop over 100 apps. His investments extend beyond the tech industry, ranging from food technology to AI, augmented reality, virtual reality, and more.[3][4]

Early life and education

Luthra was born and raised in New Delhi, India, where his parents were involved in the fashion industry. He attended Lotus Valley International School for his secondary education and later completed his high school studies at Pathways World School in 2013. In 2018, Luthra received an honorary Ph.D. in distributed and decentralized systems from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.

Luthra's journey as a serial entrepreneur began in adolescence when he developed a keen interest in digital technology. He started curating technology-related news at twelve and quickly gained a readership of 250,000. As mobile app popularity surged, Luthra ventured into app development and became a leading innovator in the startup world.

In 2010, Luthra founded EL Group International, which initially focused on designing and developing mobile applications for Fortune 500 companies.[6] Over the years, the company has evolved to become one of the best in the software services industry, having worked with major global corporations such as Unilever, Dubai First Bank, CitiGroup, Godiva, Audi, Nielsen, and Google, as well as emerging technology startups like Floqker, ChillApp, RemedyForGlass, Zuntik, and Mission1364.[7]

In 2014, Luthra established the Startup Studio Incubator Fund, a unique incubator fund that focuses on providing capital, technology, and marketing resources to non-tech entrepreneurs, helping them launch new companies from scratch. Luthra's expertise and guidance have helped over 300 companies in the last five years, with a combined market cap of over $100 billion.[8][9]

Luthra is regarded as a blockchain expert and pioneer by some of the world's leading organizations and publications. His work in the blockchain industry primarily revolves around working with and investing in leading companies. He has also received an honorary Ph.D. in blockchain.
