Erik Huberman (born November 14, 1985) is an American entrepreneur, sales, marketing, and e-commerce expert, business consultant, and strategist, podcast host, keynote speaker, and author.[1] He is the founder and chief executive officer of Hawke Media.[2] He is known for his innovative approach to marketing and his work with a variety of high-profile clients across multiple industries. He has authored a book titled, “The Hawke Method”,[3] which has been acclaimed as a National bestseller.[4]

Huberman has over 17 years of experience in owning, consulting, advising, and helping companies establish new businesses.[5] His work has been featured in several high-tier publications including Rolling Stone,[6] Business Insider, Forbes,[7] and Entrepreneur magazine.[8] Huberman has also been credited as the Entrepreneur of the Year by The International Business Awards.[9]

Early life and education

Huberman was born on November 14, 1985, in Ojai, California. He was inclined towards entrepreneurship since his childhood. At 9, he went on selling unused objects in his house to people in the neighborhood. Huberman completed his high school at Oak Grove School in 2004. He later went on to pursue a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Arizona and graduate in 2008.


In 2006, Huberman established Erik Huberman Consulting, a firm focused on providing consultancy and strategy-building services to companies across the sales and marketing departments. Years 2006-2013, Huberman worked on numerous projects with various US-based companies. He developed plans across various departments and concepts including, marketing and sales, online platforms, and business strategies. Some of his notable company engagements include Vector Marketing, Ellie Fashion Group, Science Media, Revolution Prep, and FAM Brands. By the age of 26, Huberman had successfully founded, grew, and sold two e-commerce companies, Swag of the Month and Fame Wizard.[10][11]

In 2014, Huberman founded Hawke Media, a marketing consulting agency in the United States.[12] Hawke media partners with its clients and help them build and implement sales, marketing, and e-commerce strategies. The company has worked with clients such as Red Bull, Verizon, Evite, Planet Blue, and Stories by Kelly Osbourne.[13]

In 2016, Huberman partnered with Arrowroot Capital and currently serves as its operating partner. In 2018 Hawke Media along with Griffin Holdings, launched Nest Equity Partners, with the objective of acquiring new and upcoming consumer brands. Huberman currently serves as the managing director at Nest Equity Partners.[14]

In September 2018, Huberman founded Hawke Ventures, a firm that focuses on funding consumer companies in their early or pre-seed stage. The company extends investments amounting to $100k-$250k to the companies. Some of the notable companies Hawke Ventures has invested in include Airvet, Kinn, The Sill, SkillBank, Wevo, TeeVee, and Junction AI among several others.[15][16] In addition to his work at Hawke Media, Huberman is a frequent speaker on marketing and entrepreneurship, and has been featured in a variety of media outlets, including Forbes, Entrepreneur, and Inc.

In 2020, Huberman launched his own podcast, HawkeTalk, a business podcast that shares stories of interesting people from around the world. In 2021, Huberman launched HawkeZ, an agency that offers brands the tools needed for tapping into GenZ.[17]

Huberman is also the author of a book titled, “The Hawke Method”, which has been acclaimed as a National bestseller. The book discusses Huberman’s three principles of marketing, awareness, nurturing, and trust, as well as it acts as a comprehensive guide about the best marketing practices.[18]

Personal life

Huberman is married to his wife, Nicole, and they have two children together. He is an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and enjoys traveling in his free time.
