Emil Shahin oglu Gonagov , better known by his stage name Emil Şahin is an azerbaijani composer and music producer.[1]</ref>[2]

Biography

Emil Shahin Gonagov was born on May 19, 1987 in the city of Baku. In 1995 he entered the secondary school named after Eldar Mammadov. Since his passion for music was formed in childhood, in addition to school, in those years he was an active participant in the creative circles of the Sabail region, as well as various concerts organized at the Bulbul secondary music school. His first melody was written when he was 11 years old.

Among the compositions that brought him fame, it is important to highlight "Follow my way". This composition was nominated for Eurovision-2009. The project was performed with the participation of musicians of the orchestra under the direction of People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, artistic director and conductor of the State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev Teymur Goychayev, as well as Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Natig Shirinov and People's Artist Alim Gasimov. The vocalist of "Follow My Way" is the singer Ulviya Agaeva.[3]

In total, there are about 30 compositions created by Emil Shahin. His songs were performed by folk and honored artists of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He was also awarded the “Composer of the Year” nomination at the «Grand», «Seçilənlər» and «Nəğmə payızı» awards.

Emil Shahin is currently working on the operetta "A Story of One Love".[4]
