Emeka Ikwukeme (born August 24, 1976) is an Irish-Nigerian accountant and entrepreneur who is best known as the founder of Tax GO Global, a software development company providing accounting and business management solutions. He is also the founder and CEO of Parcel-King, a courier and delivery service company, and Retail Xpress, an online application and web platform that enables businesses to set up and manage retail stores.[1][2]

Ikwukeme is also a certified public accountant. He has experience in various industries, including IT, customer service, and logistics, and has worked for SME businesses and individuals in Dublin and London, including Heca Group Ltd., Tradewins, Casey Kennedy Property Management Ltd., and Elan Pharma. In 2021, Ikwukeme was named the Irish-African Businessperson of the Year by the All-Ireland Business Foundation

Early life and education

Ikwukeme was born in Enugu and raised in Nsukka and Onitsha, in Old Anambra State, Nigeria. His father was a civil servant, and his mother was a nurse. He attended the University Primary School in Nsukka and the Federal Government College in Wukari.

From a young age, Ikwukeme wanted to be an entrepreneur. During his school years, Ikwukeme used to sell meat pies and trade animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and pigeons. He also had a passion for the stock market, and he followed the stock prices of various companies in the newspaper.

Ikwukeme studied production technology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, International Trade and Finance with Electronic Business School of Ireland, and later enrolled at Griffith College Dublin and qualified as a certified public accountant in 2012. He also holds an MBA from Technology University Dublin and also enrolled in Harvard Business School for further studies.

Career

Ikwukeme has experience in various industries, including IT, customer service, and logistics. He has worked for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individuals in Dublin and London. Ikwukeme started his career in 2001 as a customer service representative at Zoom Mobile and later joined Heca Group Ltd. as an assistant finance manager.[3]

Between 2005 and 2007, Ikwukeme worked as a cashier and retail auditor in various retail units.

In 2007, he joined Tradewins Ireland as a retail auditor, overseeing stock control, order management, and auditing processes across Dunnesstore, Tesco, and Supervalu outlets in Ireland.[4]

In 2009, Ikwukeme joined Casey Kennedy Property Management Ltd. as an accounts assistant, later assuming the role of finance manager.

In 2014, he joined Daybreak Information Technologies, also known as Elan Pharma, as a SAP Financial Business Analyst. However, he lost his job when Elan was acquired by Perrigo. During this time, Ikwukeme continued his private accounting practice in Dublin and gained clients.

In 2015, Ikwukeme relocated to London to assume a senior financial accountant role at Profad Quality Investments Ltd., a London-based accountancy practice and educational training center.

Leveraging his years of experience as a certified public accountant, Ikwukeme launched the Ireland Tax Calculator, followed by the UK Tax Calculator and the US Tax Calculator. He consolidated all these into a single platform, Tax Go Global, in 2015.[5]

Tax Go Global is a software development company that provides businesses with accounting and business management solutions. The company’s flagship product, Tax Go Business Solution, is a comprehensive platform that encompasses invoicing, scanning, payment processing, payroll management, reporting, bank reconciliation, and tax management functionalities. The platform has revolutionized the way businesses handle their financial operations, allowing them to streamline processes and increase efficiency.

In 2019, Ikwukeme established Parcel-King, a courier and delivery service for letters, parcels, and packages in Ireland and abroad. Parcel-King offers international delivery services to countries such as the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, and Germany..[6]

Awards and recognitions

In 2021, Ikwukeme was named African Irish Business Person of the Year by the All-Ireland Business Foundation.

Personal life

Ikwukeme resides in Dublin, Ireland. He is married to his wife, Chika Offiah-Ikwukeme. They have two children, Jayden, and Preston Ikwukeme. He is an avid tennis and football player. Loves animals and enjoys traveling and exploring.
