Elena Beuca (born October 27, 1979) is a Romanian-American film director, film producer, actress, and revivalist. She is known for Talita (2020), Gang Related (TV series)|Gang Related (American action drama) (2014) and Connectivity (2010). She is the recipient of several accolades for her first directorial debut for the feature film Talita (2020) - with a total of 14 awards including for best feature film, best female director, and best actress.[1]Trainwreck society named her directorial debut as "The finest work of cinematic arts of the last decade." She also appeared in the TV shows Gang Related (2014), Enlightened (2011), and Victorious (2010).

Born and raised in Hateg, Transylvania, Beuca aspired to be an avid reader from a young age.[2] At the age of 27, she started to get fascinated about acting, so she came across American Academy of Dramatic Arts which also made her gave up her Real estate business in Bucharest so she can pursue acting as a full-time career. Beuca then moved to Los Angeles and began her acting career by playing guest roles in television shows.

Early life

Elena Beuca was born in the Hateg, a small village in Transylvania, Romania during the communism era.[3] She spent her whole time working on the farm while taking care of cows and sheep. Going to school was a treat for her and she looked forward to it every morning – was a great break from the hard work on the farm.

Career

Through her productions, Beuca is known to share her personal life stories and teachings. In 2020, Beuca and her husband Dave released their directorial debut, “Talida,” for which she was also an actress. The film was about how people should help people and received a total of 14 awards, including for best feature film, best female director, and best actress. Trainwreck Society named her directorial debut "the finest work of cinematic arts of the last decade."

In the film “Dear Brother,” Beuca features her 4-month journey in Romania when her brother was in a coma.

Beuca has also played guest roles in various short films and television shows, including Gang Related (2014), Enlightened (2011), and Victorious (2010).

In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Beuca is the founder of Elliel, an online streaming platform and community that helps artists show their work and connect with other artists on a global level.

She is also the founder of the Talita Kumi Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps people rise and lift others. She is also the founder of the Kindness Ambassadors Foundation, which uses arts, entertainment, and media to uplift people in areas affected by poverty and crisis.

Beuca also hosts the podcast Rise Up with Elena Beuca, in which she shares her personal journey and spiritual growth process.

Since the COVID 19 disease pandemic, Elena Beuca is not only focused on movies and documentaries but also helping people get inspired over social media and OTT platforms. She has been creating new inspiration and motivational videos every week to keep people busy and bring life out of them. Elena Beuca is completely dedicated on helping people and non-profits as she is planning to launch a OTT-charity based platform to raise funds for them.

Personal life

Beuca resides in Los Angeles, California. She married her husband, David Rogers in 2009.
