Elder Michael Johnson (born 12 October, 1962) is a Hebrew Master Hebraist of Biblical Law, Pastor, Author, and International Bible Teacher. He is best known as the World’s leading Bible Preceptor and is the director of Percept Comprehension and Etymology at the King James Bible University. Johnson is the author of The Percept Study Bible, King James Version Series, which consists of precepts and appellations highlighting the important aspects of the era the Bible was written in.[1]
Johnson is considered a leader in correctly aligning the Old and Second Testament scriptures by using only precepts. His teaching and application of rules and appellations structure to define scripture have exceeded the understanding of many teachers and pioneers in the Bible precepts field. Johnson focuses on distinguishing traditional beliefs from false doctrinal interpretations, aiming to bring forth the unabridged meaning of the Holy Bible. Leveraging his expertise, he unravels Biblical truth. He also authored The Percept Study Bible, a standalone Bible published in 2019.[2]
Johnson is a member of Percept Mastery Publishing LLC and The Lost Sheep of Israel, which publishes articles and shared opinions of other educators on Biblical understanding using Bible precepts and church history, grounded in a true Hebrew foundation.[3]
Early life and education
Johnson was born in Los Angeles, California to Melvin and Gloria Johnson. He grew up in a middle class environment and was raised as a baptist.
Johnson graduated from the University of Southern California with a master’s degree in Perceptual Psychology. Johnson learned Bible precepts through Master Hebraist, Dr. Sha'ul of Jerusalem who is considered the master teacher of the Old and the New Testament. Johnson became his disciple and followed in his path to become a Hebraist himself.
Career
Elder Michael Johnson began his professional journey as an IT consultant and developer, yet his true calling emerged when he transitioned into the realm of Biblical Law and ethics. Recognizing the intricate and profound nature of the scriptures, Johnson devoted his life to deepening his understanding of Church ethics and unraveling the legal frameworks embedded in the Bible. Under the tutelage of Dr. Sha’ul of Jerusalem, a renowned Master Hebraist of Biblical Law, specializing in both the Old and Second Testament, as well as the Apocrypha, Johnson honed his expertise, ultimately becoming a maestro in his own right.[4]
In 2015, Johnson was appointed as the director of Percept Comprehension and Etymology at the King James Bible University, a position that placed him at the forefront of scripture understandings and teaching. In this role, he pioneered the use of modern media, conducting weekly online sessions on platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo, where he meticulously dissected the hidden legal and spiritual meanings within Biblical texts, always grounding his work in the legal framework of the first five books of Moses.[5]
His rigorous application of Bible precepts distinguishes Johnson’s work, focusing on distinguishing true doctrine from doctrinal errors perpetuated by many contemporary teachers. His legal approach to scripture has earned him widespread recognition, particularly for his refusal to adopt popular doctrinal misinterpretations and his polite but firm opposition to false teachings propagated within churches, particularly in the United Kingdom. His influence in Biblical Law studies has drawn the attention of numerous academic institutions, where his unique legal methodology in defining scripture blending is regarded as superior to that of other scholars and practitioners.
His legal and methodological framework, rooted deeply in Biblical Law, led to the development of a superior scriptural analysis approach that surpasses other interpretations globally, gaining widespread recognition within the field of Biblical Preceptual Law. Johnson’s contributions include the publication of the Spiritual Bible Dictionary based on Paleo-Hebrew writings, a highly acclaimed work that illuminates the profound spiritual and legal meanings of Biblical terms as set forth in the Law. Additionally, he designed two advanced digital tools—The Preceptor Professional and The Written Communication Tool—both aimed at enhancing the legal application and comprehension of scripture according to precepts. His Paleo Hebrew Keyword Dictionary further solidifies his mastery, offering not merely a translation, but a detailed understanding of the spiritual functions and legal principles embedded within the ancient language, allowing for the full application of precepts as intended by JEHOVAH.
Johnson’s legal and spiritual framework is encapsulated in his teaching, emphasizing the need to “compare spiritual things with spiritual,” as delineated in 1 Corinthians 2:13-14. His work continues to influence the understanding of Biblical Law, rejecting carnal interpretations in favor of profound spiritual and legal insights into JEHOVAH’s statutes.
