Dr. John Strobeck is an American cardiologist with over 40 years of experience in the medical field. He is known for his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular diseases, as well as his commitment to patient education and empowerment.[1] Dr. Strobeck received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1974 and completed his residency at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 1976. He also completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the Albert Einstein College Hospital and Medical School in 1978.[2]

Throughout his career, Dr. Strobeck has been dedicated to providing the highest quality care to his patients. He has published numerous articles and studies in leading medical journals, and is highly respected among his colleagues and patients alike. Dr. Strobeck is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.[3]

Early Life and Education

Dr. John Strobeck was born on September 12, 1946, in York, Pennsylvania. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1968. He pursued his graduate studies at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio, where he received his Ph.D. in 1972 and his M.D. in 1974.

After his medical training, Dr. Strobeck held various academic appointments and training positions. He served as an Instructor in Physiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio, from 1971 to 1972. He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine and Clinical Fellowship in Medicine at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Boston, MA, from 1974 to 1975. He continued his training as a Junior Assistant Resident at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, MA, from 1975 to 1976. Dr. Strobeck then pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Cardiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY, from 1976 to 1978. He also served as an Instructor in the Department of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1977 to 1978.[4]

Career

In 1978, Dr. Strobeck joined the faculty of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. He also served as the Assistant Senior Editor of Cardiovascular Reviews & Report, LeJacq Publishing Company, NY in 1979. In 1980, he was appointed as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.[5]

Dr. Strobeck's career also included numerous directorial roles in cardiology departments and programs. He served as the Director of CCU at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, from 1982 to 1984, and as the Director of Cardiac Care from 1984 to 1994. Dr. Strobeck was the Co-Director of Interventional Cardiology at The Valley Hospital from 1988 to 1997. He also served as the Chief of Cardiology at The Valley Hospital from 2003 to 2004, and as the Director of the Heart Failure Program at The Valley Hospital from 2006 to 2014.[6]

In addition to his clinical and academic appointments, Dr. Strobeck served on several committees and founded numerous organizations related to his field. He was the Co-Founder of the Heart Failure Society of America in 1995 and served as a member of the Executive Council from 1995 to 2004. He also founded the Cardiovascular Tissue Bank and Cardiac Genomics Program at Valley Hospital in 2007. Dr. Strobeck was the Founder and Medical Director of the former Heart-Lung Center in Hawthorne, NJ, from 1997 to 2015, and was the Co-Founder of the former Heart Failure Consortium of NJ in Hawthorne, NJ, from 2006 to 2016.[7]

Philanthropy

Dr. Strobeck has been actively involved in philanthropic activities throughout his career. He has been a supporter of various charitable organizations, including the American Heart Association, the Heart Failure Society of America, Christian Ministries, and the Valley Hospital Foundation. In 2010, he established the Strobeck Foundation, which supports charitable organizations that focus on healthcare, education, and the arts.[8]

Dr. Strobeck has also been a leader in the field of cardiology. He has served on the boards of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Failure Society of America. He is currently the founder and director of Heart-Lung Center Consultants, Inc. in New Jersey, which provides cardiology consulting services to the medical industry. Dr. Strobeck is also a pioneer in the development and application of new treatments for heart failure and has published numerous articles on the subject.[9]

In addition to his work in cardiology, Dr. Strobeck has a keen interest in the fintech industry. He has been an active investor in fintech startups and has served as a consultant to several companies in the field. Dr. Strobeck sees great potential in the intersection of healthcare and fintech and believes that the two industries can work together to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.
