Deonta Lee (born 4 October), better known as Dr.Tay G, is an American entrepreneur, business consultant, credit repair specialist, speaker and influencer. He is considered a prolific business consultant who helps individuals with better credit scores and remove negative aspects to start using credit to help people grow their businesses. Dr.Tay G currently serves as owner of 21st Century Business Consulting, that offers credit repair services and consultant.[1]
Dr.Tay G has a background in civil engineering, he has built a network of social media followers. He often speaks at conferences and events on the topics of financial literacy to help students and communities around the Mississippi area. Dr.Tay G is known for his lifestyle and often posts about travel hacking, credit, and investing on social networks.
Early life and education
Dr.Tay G was born on 4 October 1996 in Meridian, MS. He attended Meridian High School and during his high school years, he grew into his adulthood. Dr.Tay G was very popular and somewhat like the class clown. He was enrolled into JROTC and many more activities around campus. In May 2015, he graduated from the Meridian High School with highest honors ranking number 5 out of a class of 300 students.
After graduation, he enlisted and was shipped off August 2015 to the US Navy Basic Bootcamp. He did 8 weeks of training receiving his E-3 Seaman Rank as a Sailor. However, after 9 months he was honorably discharged from the US Navy. Disappointed and lost, Dr.Tay G enrolled into the Historical Black College at the University Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. Where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Career
During his college years, Dr.Tay G started focusing more on his financial life and businesses. With no money, and being hungry late nights in college he started studying credit seriously to understand the hidden aspects. So, after long nights and investing into books & mentors he learned the importance of credit.
During his Senior year in college he started his entrepreneurial journey and founded 21ST Century Business Consulting, a business consulting firm that takes business and entrepreneurs to the next levels of their careers.[2] He began leveraging his credit and started using it to help him to become successful. Also, he was doing a lot of motivation speaking and giving financial literacy to students and communities around the Mississippi area.
After college, he focused on expanding his business. As a first step, he worked on expanding his social media accounts on May 05,2021 to connect with more audiences. On his social media handles, he started doing a lot of travel hacking, credit, and investing. In an interview, Dr.Tay G shared that “My goal is to educate as many people as possible in hopes that they won’t make the same mistakes l did.”
Personal life
Dr.Tay G currently lives in Texas. In his spare time, he likes to travel and motivate youth for a better life and obtain financial freedom.
