Mohammad Reza Sadeghi, professionally as DJ Phellix, is an Iran based music producer, music artist and disc jockey (DJ). He is best known for pioneering fusion-electronic music and has several hit singles. DJ Phellix has been signed with over 20 record Labels and has been featured on Buddha Bar album. He gained the attention of music lovers when introduced oriental music with Iranian instruments added in the space of electronic music.[1]
Born in Tehran, Iran, most recently DJ Phellix has been composing and arranging music for Hooraaz Band and also runs his own record label "@Ario Records". An innovative deep house single by DJ Phellix, "Bar Sabze Neshin" has altered the perceptions of new age electronic music and oriental EDM subgenres. He is a verified music artist on Spotify, SoundCloud and other digital music platforms. DJ Phellix has also garnered a following of music lovers on his social handles.
Early life and education
DJ Phellix was born as Mohammad Reza Sadeghi on 28 April 1988 in Tehran, Iran. Right from his childhood, he had keen interest in rock music. He has attended college and completed his graduation in IT Engineering and Gemology.
Music career
DJ Phellix started his career as an electric guitarist due to his inclination towards rock music. He has performed for several live rock bands and played primarily rhythm guitar for them. DJ Phellix has his roots in the traditional Iranian music and he further focused on the integration of Iranian music and Western music, which gave him an early recognition he needed.
In 2012, he started DJing and was introduced to electronic music more substantially. He learned and pioneered the Ableton software by 2016 and never looked back since. DJ Phellix realized that he needs to further learn and decided to branch out into other music genres and released his work in Deep House style.
As of February 2022, he has been signed up with over 20 record labels.
