Banks was born on August 13, 1993, in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was raised in foster homes. Despite challenging circumstances, his athletic talents emerged early, leading him to engage in 12 sports during his formative years. His journey through sports began at Wheeling Park High School, where he primarily focused on football, resulting in notable achievements and recognition. Among his accolades was an invitation to participate in the North-South Football All-Star Game, an honor reserved for top high school football players. During high school, while actively engaged in football, Banks was introduced to weightlifting, igniting his passion for fitness and strength training.

Banks received a scholarship from Fairmont State University where he played football and rugby. He graduated with a bachelors in criminal justice degree. He also attended West Virginia Northern Community College where he received his associates in applied science degree.

Career

Fitness Trainer

After graduation, Banks became a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. He works with a diverse clientele, including stay-at-home moms, professional athletes competing in the NFL, NHL, and NBA, children, and the elderly. Establishing a career as a personal trainer in Phoenix, Arizona, Banks has been utilizing his athletic background to connect with clients, focusing on comprehensive physical fitness programs and nutritional guidance since 2014. In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he adapted his approach by becoming a mobile personal trainer, ensuring clients could continue their fitness progress by bringing training directly to their homes or local parks.[4]

As a content creator and social media influencer, Banks has amassed a substantial digital footprint known for his content and collaborations with notable brands and influencers. His focus primarily centers on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, where he curates authentic and relatable content, including product reviews and descriptions.[5]

American Ninja Warrior

Banks has been a three-time competitor on NBC's "American Ninja Warrior," achieving the national semi-finals twice. He debuted in season 12, where he encountered a setback by falling on the Lunatic Ledges during qualifying. In season 13, he progressed to the semifinals but faced elimination on the third obstacle, Ring Chaser. In Season 15, Banks reached the semifinals but got eliminated on the sideways obstacle, concluding his ANW journey.
