Craig A. Pugatch is an American lawyer, author and managing partner of the law firm Rice Pugatch Robinson Storfer & Cohen PLCC in Florida.[2][3] He is a noted and top rated bankruptcy attorney in Florida.[4] Pugatch is a law practitioner in the state of Florida for both state and federal courts.[5][6] He specializes in insolvency law, commercial litigation, bankruptcy and reorganization, along with investment and commercial transactions.[7][8][9][10]

Pugatch has been widely recognised for his involvement in several high-profile cases and has garnered the attention of media houses including Miami Herald, the Daily Business Review, the South Florida Legal Elite and The Best Lawyers in America. He was also recognised by Super Lawyers, a company that rates lawyers based on peer recognition and achievements.

Pugatch is the author of Involuntary Petitions Under BACPA: Much Ado About Nothing? – The Bankruptcy Strategist, published in 2007. He has also founded Mobilizing MSD Alumni, an organization that supports the community of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School High School students, teachers, and alumni after the shooting on February 14, 2018.[11]

Early life and education

Pugatch was born and raised in Coral Springs, Florida. He graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 1996. He pursued political science and business administration at the University of Florida for four years. He became a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Men's Music Fraternity while completing his bachelor’s degree. In 2001, Pugatch enrolled in Fredric G. Levin College of law and graduated cume laude from the University of Florida in 2003.

Career

Pugatch with an experience of over 17 years is a leading attorney in the state of Florida, known for his work in bankruptcy and reorganization cases.[12] He represents debtor, creditor and trustee interests. He is highly acclaimed for his advice in business litigation and transactional solutions.

Pugatch is an annual guest lecturer at the University of Florida. He has also addressed several seminars including CLE (Continuing Legal Education).

Philanthropy

In the wake of Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, Pugatch founded Mobilizing MSD Alumni to support the school community.[20][21] He serves as the founder and national director of the organization. He has created several outreach programs for the school community and has raised his advocacy to demand policy change nationwide. Pugatch closely works with alumnus to strengthen the connections and maintain an active relationship with the school.[22]

Pugatch also sits on the board of Master Chorale of South Florida.[23]

Pugatch is from Coral Springs, Florida. He opted Law as a career choice after completing his bachelor’s degree.
