Chen Leiba (born February 12 1988 in Israel), is a Wedding and Dance Club, Composer and music producer, specializing in pop music and dance music.
Biography
Leiba was born in Holon and transferred with his family to Ashdod at the age of 6. He began his musical career in 1998, aged only 10, by deejaying at friends’ birthday parties and school parties. At the age of 12 Leiba began producing music and reached out to older DJ who played his music at local radio, events and clubs.
In 2004, at the age of 16, he began performing at larger dance clubs in Israel until inducted to IDF, where his musical career came to a halt. After his discharge from duty, in 2009, Chen started producing music again. During that time, he produced remix for famous artists such as Omer Adam, Eyal Golan, Eden Ben Zaken, Moshe Peretz, Lior Narkis, Static & Ben El Tavori, Regev Hod, Noa Kirel, Agam Buchbut and many more. Some of those productions were officially released and played on the biggest stages in the county.
During 2012-2013, Chen worked as a cruise ship DJ for Mano cruises and Venos Cruises who sailed the Mediterranean.
In 2014, Chen studied musical production at BPM College and graduated. He was certified by Steinberg and Ableton. Chen started producing original music in 2017. At that time, he signed with Artists Network Revolution Record company who published and promoted his music in stores and streaming.
On July 23, 2015, Chen, together with Gilad Markovich, produced a female version to Golden Boy (Nadav Guedj song) by Nadav Guedj, featuring Lital Krichely. They performed the song live on Channel 24 on Itzik Zohar’s show.
On April 4, 2017 Chen began an electronic collaborations project. The first artist to feature in the collaboration was Itzik Orlev, on e.p “Mahawal”.
On January 30, 2018, Chen produced and released an official remix to Tikitas by Noa Kirel, Stéphane Legar and Arisa. That day, Noa Kirel performed the song live on the final of the X FACTOR show.
On April 4, 2018, a week before the Eurovision final, Chen released a remix to Toy by Netta Barzilai, which became viral after Neta’s win.
On August 8, 2018, Chen produced the E.P “Leibailar” featuring the Portugal artist Sephinio.
On august 25, 2018, Chen, together with Eli Edri, produced “In the Big City” by Regev Hod and Ruli I-zen.
On November 8, 2018, Chen produced “Cuba Libre” which reached 2nd place on top 100 list by international electronic music site Beatport.
On April 17, 2019, Leiba, together with Chen Mantzur, produced “Electrified”.[1] The artist Sivan Behnem, who sang for Tact Family, performed the song.
On June 6, 2019, Leiba composed and produced (together with Matanel Aberjel) a song for the promotion of Israel football club Maccabi Ironi Ashdod. The artist Elkana Marziano, who won the 3rd season of The Voice Israel, performed the song.
On September 5, 2019, Leiba produced (together with Eli Arbiv) “Bim Bam Bomb”, who reached great success and was played on the largest stages in Israel.
On February 4, 2020, Leiba produced a new single – “The Beginning of the Future”, together with Eli Arbiv and singer Mor Ifrach.
On March 31, 2020, Leiba produced “Little Bee” performed by Adi Versano.
On May 19, 2020, Leiba produced “Save My Life” together with composer & producer Tomer Aharon.
On May 24, 2020 Leiba (together with Tzlil Kalifi) composed “Osim Kavod La Laila”, performed by Lior Narkis and Berry Sakharof and composed by Tamir Tzur.
On February 10, 2021, Leiba released “One Time Lover”, featuring Alon Sher (Voca People).
On May 26, 2021 Leiba work with the singer James Timms from uk and released the song 'You Can Put This Behind You"
On September 1, 2021 Leiba produced a new single "Till The Sun Will Rise" together with doti and the singer Sapir Breier.[2]
