Chefee Robotics is an American company specializing in robotics, technology, and kitchen solutions. Founded in 2021 by Assaf Pashut, the company's flagship product is the world's first embedded robotic chef, designed to seamlessly integrate into modern kitchens and prepare hundreds of dishes on command. Chefee Robotics aims to revolutionize home cooking by providing a time-saving solution that delivers homemade meals effortlessly.[1]

History

Chefee Robotics was established in 2021 by Assaf Pashut, a seasoned entrepreneur with a background in cognitive science, neurobiology, and business administration. His experience as the CEO and CTO of 7D Robotics provided valuable insights into kitchen automation, laying the foundation for Chefee's innovative approach to culinary technology. As the former CEO of The Flying Falafel, a successful restaurant chain in the San Francisco Bay Area, Pashut's vision for culinary excellence led to the inception of Chefee Robotics. Pashut had the idea of creating a fully functional robotic chef who could easily fit into contemporary kitchens and make a variety of dishes from scratch using just a voice command.[2]

Product description

Chefee Robotics' flagship product is an autonomous kitchen concept named Chefee, which aims to revolutionize home cooking by offering a range of home chef robots capable of storing, prepping, and cooking meals with voice commands. These compact devices can prepare hundreds of dishes from scratch on command, offering users the convenience of ordering groceries through integration with Amazon Fresh and Instacart and controlling cooking processes remotely with Amazon Alexa. With features like expandable cooking modules and a multi-ingredient robot pantry, Chefee's robotic chefs promise over 5,000 meal choices and additional cooking services like baking and blending.[3]

While the product is not yet available for sale, it is expected to come in three different models and offer over 5,000 meal choices. These futuristic kitchen appliances are available for pre-order, with delivery anticipated for Christmas 2024.[4]

Funding

Chefee Robotics gained national attention through its feature on Season 15, Episode 17, of "Shark Tank," which aired on March 8, 2024. The company presented its autonomous kitchen concept named Chefee, securing an investment of $500,000 for 15% equity from the shark Kevin O’Leary.[5]

Additionally, the company received $450,000 from another investor, with Assaf Pashut contributing $90,000 of personal funds towards the venture.[6]
