Bisi’s sojourn into the world of politics started with student union politics at the Yaba College of Technology. In 1999 after the transition to civil rule, he returned to Efon-Alaaye from Lagos to become the supervisor for works in Efon Local Government. In 2007, under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he contested for a seat to represent the people of Efon in the Ekiti State House of Assembly. He was the chairman of the house committee on works during that time[7].This was the time when the house had 13 PDP and 13 AC members.

In 2013, he was appointed by the Federal Government as a member of the governing council of the Federal polytechnic, Bida in Niger state. In October 2014, the Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose appointed him to his administration as a special adviser on the Environment. He was later made Commissioner for the Environment in July 2015. A position he held until October 2018. He initially indicated interest for the top seat in Ekiti state still with the PDP in 2018[8] but stepped aside before the party primaries which saw Deputy Governor, Kolapo Olusola Eleka emerge as the party’s flagbearer. He contested for a seat in the House of Representatives in 2019 to represent his constituency.

He is a member of the board of trustees of the PDP and the immediate past chairman[9] of the PDP in Ekiti state.
