BB Thomaz (born June 9, 1994) is a singer, songwriter, music producer, and instrumentalist of American origin currently living in Germany. Thomaz is known for her vocal ability and has been often compared with peers in the music industry. She became a common household name when she was named as a The Voice of Germany finalist.
Thomaz incorporates her own unique style and has a charismatic artistic style. Once her song “Golden State of Mind” was released, Thomaz garnered a lot of fame globally. In a few months, she has established herself as one of the most influential musical artists specializing in the soul genre and has built a strong following on her social handles.
Previously Thomaz has also worked as a model and is a fitness freak. Her music is available on her website and all major digital music streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Soundcloud and others.[1]
Biography
Thomaz was born on June 9, 1994 in New York City. She moved with her family to Germany, when she was 6. Thomaz had a tragic past and suffered from years of physical and mental abuse by her family. As a 16 year old teenager, she ran away from her home and became self dependent. Since then, she has never looked back.[2]
She attended the University of Munich and completed her Masters in Musicology. Earlier, Thomaz worked as a model and after sometime followed her passion in music. Her tremendous vocal skills have already drawn her parallel to Beyonce and Ariana Grande. Thomaz is an original and charming performer who delivers much more than a wonderful voice and a gorgeous face. She is a multi talented artist who expresses herself as an artist and as a human in a manner that is both original and engaging.[3].
Her 2016 German Rock & Pop Prize-winning single "Don't go missing" was produced by Grammy-nominated composer and producer Kyle K2 Stewart II. Afterwards, she reached the Finals of The Voice of Germany, which gave her the opportunity to collaborate with musicians including Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran, and Yvonne Catterfeld.
The very amazing singer launched her first Afro-Soul album, "Golden State of Mind" in 2022, delivering a unique blend of acoustic soul, afrobeats, and a hint of pop. BB is a talented songwriter, since her words are profound, highly emotive, and motivating. The highly talented vocal queen's song "Don't Care" with DJ JSnake is presently in the Netherlands Top 10 Charts, surpassing 300,000 Streams.[4]
