History

Astera Software was founded in 2010 by CEO, Ibrahim Surani along with Jay Mishra (COO), Munira Lalani (VP Sales), and Mike O'Quinn (CTO). The company's mission was to give clients a one-stop-shop for all of their data management needs. After onboarding their first major client, Wells Fargo, within the first year the company went on to amass a diverse range of clients from mid-sized enterprises to Fortune 500 companies operating in various industries, including healthcare, education, government, finance, and more. Astera follows a philosophy of continuous innovation.[5] They are committed to rolling out new feature updates and UX improvements across their product suite, and are constantly working to scale up their offerings with new solutions. It has emerged as a major competitor to firms like Informatica and Talend who specialize in data integration software.[6]

Astera EDIConnect

Astera EDIConnect supports a wide range of EDI standards, including as ANSI X12, HIPAA, and EDIFACT, allowing businesses to fulfill the needs of all their trading partners regardless of format or technology. It also enables easy EDI file interchange through AS2, FTP, and email.
